I'm not wumming, but I have given up being civil and logical to the pig-headed OLD bastards who have reaped the benefits of the EU and are now throwing a tantrum because the politicians in this country aren't very good, and having a protest vote you didn't understand the ramifications of. I am angry, furious, livid about this, a long with the majority of the generation to come you are trying to **** over. Don't get me started on the thick ****s who repeat the mantra that Corbyn would be a political disaster despite not knowing a single one of his policies. "I don't trust him", "he's a terrorist sympathiser", "a socialist" yada yada. It's weird because you want these same imbeciles in government to have more power...? Or so you think. The 99% of EU laws will remain because we actually quite like them and it would take the next 2 decades to rewrite. We will still follow PSD2, and all the major EU proposed regs because they are sensible policies. The best part, is that, given the status of the laws, you haven't actually added to my list of the 2 legitimate reasons for voting out, unless you are also against the various other organisations that Britain have signed up to in history without your so mighty consent? Do you hate the UN?
Congratulations - I can now call house on my Remainer Bingo Card Using the death of leave voters for point scoring - check Using offensive language to describe leave voters - check Assuming the "I know better" moral high ground - check Insulting the age of leave voters - check Assuming future generations will be worse off - check Owns a crystal ball to precisely predict the future - check Insulting people because their general political view doesn't match - check Have I missed anything? Hmmmm - probably You are a walking posterchild for everything that is wrong with politics and society in general - and you accuse leave voters of having a tantrum - I'd suggest you take a long hard look in the mirror.....
I'm afraid you are correct, but the issue is, you thick headed old ****s didn't understand respectable logical arguments... So now I'm going to vent my spleen at you ya prick, especially as I work in a sector predicted to have a 100k job losses because of your cross on a paper. Take it on the chin or convince me I'm wrong you prat. I mean, you and all the other brexiteer ****s are probably perfectly nice, normal chaps, and you have always come across like that, I don't care about chatting **** about football, that's what this forum is for... but if there is going to be a thread about something I care about, and you have blase attitude about voting for a campaign based on proven lies, I reserve my right to call someone a **** and be called a **** back.
Read what you said and I responded to more carefully. Regaining sovereignty wasn’t mentioned. That is a legitimate reason. I assume your references to “you” are generic and not specific and/or that you haven’t read all of this thread otherwise you would be aware that I initially voted to remain. It helps in a discussion if you are aware of where the other party is coming from. If you were being specific then now is the time to pick your dummy up off the floor, learn how to apologise for unnecessary and inappropriate vitriol and educate yourself on how democracy in this country is intended to work. As soon as a “remainer” has provided a rational, legitimate reason as to why the original referendum vote should be ignored then i and I guess many others will reconsider my current position. As JD has said stop having a tantrum and spilling out generalised personal attacks on those who don’t agree with you and start addressing the issues if you wish to debate.
I don't wish to debate, obviously, because as you've proven, people who believe Brexit should be carried out cannot see reason... I don't give a **** if you voted for it or not... Ultimately you believe it should happen, and therefore I am within my rights to say how unhappy I am with you. Stop being a condescending ****.
You’re unhappy with me for saying you just don’t overturn a democratic vote because you don’t like it and asking you to give me a legal reason to do so (which you haven’t). Think I’ll be as condescending as I want in that case. Love you really.
fair play There doesn't need to be a legal reason to not apply an advisory referendum, which 35% of the electorate felt they either didn't have enough information to vote on, didn't want to vote on a binary option, or otherwise couldn't be arsed with. There was no legal requirement to follow through on Brexit, only politic pressure on the ruling party to retain seats. 70% of people polled would have the death penalty written back into law... Sometimes you have to protect people from themselves. The only issues of legality is around the Leave campaigns spurious claims about things like millions for the NHS, more fish and chips per person etc which were retracted within seconds of victory, and apparently team Leave spent too much on flyers. I'm also going to make a massive sweeping statement here.... nobody who mentions 'sovereignty' actually knows what it means...
Aye but you can't be a conservative... Not in Wales surely!!!! You can't vote Lib Dems or Plaid because of your EU stance although I would suspect they are your natural fall backs, so either your most recent voting is UKIP or you are abstaining.
Ha. Well, my family were Tories believe it or not, but my father was a manager at Unilever so, he werent no miner. I was Labour, while living on Merseyside before the referendum I wasn't just a Lib Dem voter but I was a converted party member. It's a disaster for me voting wise, I support the Libs in almost every single sector apart from Brexit. They're sensible, I still respect their consistency now in representing the Return side. It's crucial a party tows that line; I just fundementally disagree. once all this blows over, I'll vote for them again. Plaid Cymru are even smaller minded ****s than us Brexit lot. **** them.
Binning 100k bankers is a good start after the ****s ****ed us over with the banking crisis. Despicable rich ****s. And they eat fish eggs ffs. And some are called Tarquin.
