I mean, Brexit hasn't happened yet.

But thanks for all the tosspot leave voters who have taken the edge of some nice European holidays in the last couple of years with the **** conversion rate. Horrible ****s <cheers>

Nonsense. His use of the word 'empire' is somewhat loaded and unfortunate, but he's right: the world is being made up of powerful trading blocks and since we are part of Europe and countries such as Denmark, Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands are our closest allies, our future should be linked with them. All other alternatives are so much worse.

Quite correct. However I think the point being made is that those predicting an impending doom once we leave, are the same people who predicted a steady decline in all those areas in the lead up to Brexit. They have clearly been wrong, but it’s probably the extent to which they’ve been wrong which is leading some to question whether their post Brexit predictions are going to be accurate. There seems to be a growing undercurrent of optimism about how we will cope as a nation post Brexit. It might turn out to be completely misplaced much like the pre Brexit prediction of steady decline. The beauty and ugliness of predictions is they won’t always be accurate. My worry would be is that our future would be in the hands of parliament to negotiate and work our way towards prosperity. Got to say they’ve not inspired me much of late...

Well that's the entirety of the point. Leave Voters are mostly annoying because they fail to see the irony that they want to ditch the EU, and I would confidently say 99.9% of the stuff the EU has implemented has actually been positive and we would keep post Brexit, for the ****ing numpties they complain about every day in Westminster.

    In short, they're on crack.

Fundamentally there's a chasm between the vote result, and what the vast majority voted for. The vote itself is null & void.

    - Did you vote to stop people of a certain ethnic origin getting into the country?
    - Did you vote to "stop them taking your jobs"? You know, the ones you don't actually want to do?
    - Did you vote to save £350 trillion, which could be pumped into the NHS?

The vast majority voted yes based on one of the above.

    - Did you vote to have food/medical shortages?
    - Did you vote to increase taxes due to lower value from suppler arrangement?
    - Did you vote to potentially bring the Troubles back to Ireland?
    - Did you vote to make the future worse for your children?

If the vast majority had understood the consequence, the result would have been different. That Cameron put his trust in the British people (seriously, we've all been to Sunderland) was the biggest screw up since Blockbuster Video refused (several times) the opportunity to buy Netflix.

My remain vote was based on staying in control of our own armed forces and there being no Euro Army which our politicians assured us at the time would never happen.

It was also based on my belief that we would be better off within the Eurozone due to the strength of the Euro.

Since then Merkel has said there will be a centralised Euro army and the Euro is as ****ed as the pound.

    See how easy it is?

Some of my fellow remainers need to learn how to accept defeat and move on. I have.

I’m now more pro leave if I’m honest.

My reason... this whole affair has shown what a corrupt and arrogant bunch of twats the European parliamentarians are. Plus I’d like to see some remainers like James O’Brien implode.

No doubt determined after having carried out an extremely in depth review on how each and every voter voted.

As an aside how did you ask those voters who have since died as to how and why they voted?

    :)

Nope, I generalised based on the sound theory that large amounts of people in the UK are thick, ignorant and/or racist.
