Having spent the last week wrestling with the decision of whether to vote for concessions that I don’t agree with or to not vote at all (neither of which I was close to being happy with), I finally decided that I was going to have to vote, as I didn’t want to risk the vote for sticking with the current pricing to come out on top. So I logged in to my account, only to find out that I hadn’t actually had a season ticket since 2014/15 and the only game I’ve been to since was QPR at home in September 2015.
Oh well, at least that has taken the decision out of my hands and I won’t feel guilty whatever the outcome.
However, I am still struggling to come to terms with the fact that they managed to make me so disconnected from something that had previously been a massive part of my life for the past 49 years. It just didn’t feel the same anymore and I’m sure it won’t until after they’re gone. I wonder how many more there are like me and just how many of us will never end up going back.
