Not sure of that, rumour had it, that the old man had left it to Jr as he wasn't well at the time, if that's true (whatever that is in Lalalallam Land) family cockwombling to the Nth degree...
It is true that Assem stepped in at the 11th hour - but that was to scupper the deal with an additional demand of £6m for the SMC, not to rescue the deal. What the Grieve team thought was happening with the SMC is anyone's guess - but they were being advised by Nick Thompson, so I assume they would have been aware of the situation and had a plan.

Shouldn't this be getting more media attention? If feels like if this was happening to another club it would be national news.

Can you imagine if this was about West Ham for example? Sky would be all over it, as would everyone else.

It should, but then we are "just" Hull City. We all know what the national media thinks of both the place and the team, why change the habit of the lifetime.

Fans of other EFL teams may have more sympathy, as everyone realises clubs are vulnerable to owners like this. We just won't get the publicity. If you look at Blackpool, they don't really get that much more attention for managing to be even more badly run and they had a convicted rapist as an owner.

What’s wrong with Burnley?

They have a bunch of players out of contract, are only trying to offer players contracts today, and had 5 U23s players on the bench against City with two keepers because they couldn't fill a bench.

Obviously much better than us but my point is they're in a world of hurt and no one cares and they're in the PL where they get much more scrutiny. What hope do we have?

The investigation highlights he appalling state of our club. I fear the only way we will get rid of the Allams is when they fold the club stating it cannot sustainably service the debt owed to Allam House. We could very well end up like Portsmouth or Bolton. I fear for the future and I'm angry that they have willfully destroyed the joy that the team has brought the supporters through greed and mismanagement. Until the club can't pay the interest and management fees to Allamhouse they have no reason to leave.
