Where will Newcastle finish this season

If we’re 6th to 8th Howes out on his arse this year.

Think any form of Europe and he'll be fine tbh - that's Eddies first two full campaigns he's finished top 7 having turned us from relegation battlers into European contenders in half a season prior.

Looking back at last season as a whole - it wasn't bad! We finished in a decent position for a team decimated by injuries and suspensions and yet are the only team in the last decade to finish 7th and not make Europe through others winning the cup.

We were one win away (3 points) from overtaking 6th place Chelsea and if we hadn't lost to just one of Forrest, Bournemouth, Luton or Everton we'd have been in the EL not ruing missing out on EC for Man U having a one in a million game against City where United did what they needed to and City were poor.

Win 2 of those games you are 5th ahead of Spurs on GD
Win 3 of those we finish above Villa in 4th place by a point with a comfortably superior goal difference.

We were super close to doing something amazing AGAIN last year and just fell short for a number of reasons.

I just think if they can lose patience with Staveley and Ghodoussi and get rid the way they did they’re going to have no issue parting with a manager.

Any team can say these thing though mate. The fact is we failed and didn’t get into europe.

We all know Howe made big mistakes even taking into account the injuries of which I still personally believe he contributed to it.

It’s why we have the new management in. To assess what the **** went wrong.

If we are outside top 6 at Christmas I think Howe is toast. For what it’s worth though If we don’t make any new decent signings then the blame can’t be Howes fault.

Luton can’t for one. Nor can any Club bar us last season.

Your injuries claim still baffles me somewhat.
Very few of the injuries were from muscle related injuries from training ground. A lot were impact injuries during games.

Now is there an argument of over reliance on players rather than giving youngsters a chance? Possibly

Is there an argument he brought Murphy back too quickly? Without a doubt.

A lot of this other stuff thrown at him I feel is unfair.
