We look considerably worse than City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea and Spurs. That puts us competing with Man U, Villa, West Ham in the top 10. Would be surprised at anything lower than 10th, equally surprised at anything higher than 7th.
Brighton West Ham Man United and Villa are all much better than Newcastle. They were on par with the above mentioned but they've all improved. The end of Howe's reign could come sooner than we all think... if Newcastle lose to Forest and Tottenham the heat will be on already. The body language and shambolic displays are absolutely in sync with that of previous managerial dismissals... once you've seen it once you recognise it every time.
Yep to me it seems like the players are just bored. What they’re bored of I don’t know, is it the tactics, training, lack of transfers, not sure. But the signs are all there.
It's gone stale and if Howe was a Baker he'd keep packing out the shelves with more stale produce. He's done well but he's got absolutely no charisma whatsoever.... I'm wondering if it's because he was a low level player, so he maybe he has an emotional attraction to sub grade players?
As it stands , the Dirty Six, Villa, Brighton, Fulham and West Ham have all now improved more than Newcastle have. 11th place finish for the mags, maybe 10th unless something changes quick sharpish.
If that happens then whilst I think you’re right it’s a disaster. The rules are clear. The club cannot progress any further. FFP is right where the dirty half dozen want us to be.
West Ham are a good side.. they were better than Newcastle for most years bar 2 in the last God knows how long and last season not far behind. They've brought in shot loads this summer. Fulham ? Not so sure but they won't be far off
West Ham are miles off top 6, we've been easily better than them the last 2 years. Fulham are decent and well run, but like Bournemouth, still significantly below us.
West Ham are most certainly not any further behind the the top 6th than Newcastle mate. They've spent big money
I remember saying Chelsea would finish above Newcastle last season. I'm not so sure about West Ham but they're no more or less likely to finish 6th than Newcastle Over the last number of years they've done better and even won something called a trophy.
I'm not going to argue with your main point, as I've been far from impressed with what I've seen from NUFC over the first two games, but didn't you say this the season before as well? Lol
