Not a big wine drinker <heterosexual> is there much of a difference in quality?

A girl I know prefers some English fizzy wine to Champaign.
English fizzy is now winning international prizes against Champagne producers.
If you know what grapes you like then you can get very good new world stuff cheaper than comparable European ones. But Gambol Floyd is the expert!

It would be a disaster for businesses according to the biggest businesses in the UK.

81% of businesses here want to stay in the EU.
Go figure. Businesses don't like change. They like things the way they made them.

Oh god are you two teaming me? The point I'm making is that the government could intervene in such deals in many ways. If we are part of the EU we are powerless to stop such takeovers.
You think Government should interfere in business to that extent?

In some cases for example, when tendering for big railway projects, perhaps choose the UK bidder rather than the German.
I actually sort of agree with you.

Is it not the frogs who run most of your water?

There's a bus company here who are massively successful and supply buses to Las Vegas, Hong Kong and half the world but not our one and only public transport operator.

I dont know enough about business to know why Translink chose a foreign outfit for buses instead of Wrightbus.

Yes the government should interfere in business. All the other European governments do. Germany and France subsidise their manufacturing to the hilt. All that **** that our government peddle about european union forbidding them from stepping in is a myth.

What about state aid?

I honestly haven't a clue.

Plenty of our utilities are foreign owned. I think I'd be right in saying that we extract North Sea gas, pay the Dutch to store it and buy it back from them. How is that in our interest? I'm starting to sound a bit old Labour. Nationalise it all...

I was actually thinking old Stopme is sounding like a Socialist <laugh>

Dunno how I'm going to vote. A few years ago I was very pro-EU but the last few years they've been acting the ****. Will probably end up voting Yes cause I don't want to be on the same side as George Galloway, Boris and Farage.

To be honest, I'll most likely be ****ing off to the other side of the world later in the year so I don't actually care that much. I'll come back when Scotland is independent.
