That's it. 312 all out. Australia lead by 254 but have chosen to bat again in order to give their bowlers a rest.
Prepare for an all out assault from their batsmen, before the inevitable demise of our 2nd innings.

He's rubbish ain't he? Crap with the bat and crap in the field. The Yorkshisters are costing us dearly in this test against the Austrians.

Has a first class batting average of 40, that's why he's in in there. Personally I'd have James Taylor from Notts in his place.

At least he could sing a dirgy hippy ballad to take their minds off things.

Personally, if I was in your position, I'd have James Taylor from America singing 'You've Got A Friend'.

I definitely be bringing Taylor in for Bell (seeings Pietersen obviously isn't an option). But not sure about the answer to the opening spot.

Apologies to those who like this kind of music, but I share this kind of reaction to it....

No help from the weather then - we're going to have to bat much better than first time round. Lyth, Ballance and Bell will need to make some proper contributions.

Do we stick or twist? Go for the win or try not to lose wickets and play for the draw?

It's only 3.3 runs an over.

They might as well go for it. I can't see England getting contributions from Lyth, Ballance and Bell. Any sort of score or protecting their wicket for a lengthy duration from just one of them would be something. England surviving from 157 overs or 942 balls isn't going to happen I'm afraid.
