Well, we're going to need a world cup thread so hear it is.

Of course, with Australia blitzing its way into the qualifiers today, we can expect short odds for them to win the cup.
However, with all nominated world teams lining up very soon, please go ahead and post at will.

Hope its a great world cup for all & sundry.
Mods may want to make a ‘sticky’ of the thread.

Looks like l'm suffering from pre-mature world cup threaditist.

After seeing its not for several months, l would ask the mods to either put a 'sticky' on the top of the forum board ........... or remove it and bring it back when the times ready.

Presumably the Qataris have their own fully patented techniques to the potential problem of hooliganism. Something along the lines of the Rwanda solution. Put them in a plane and then drop them from a height in to the desert.

If you didn't realise this whole tournament was a complete farce before now, within the first 5 minutes we just witnessed a perfectly good goal being disallowed. No doubt Infantino's cronies have taken back handers to ensure the host nation does well. I feel like puking already.
