Now 3-0. Is the lack of posts on this thread due to disinterest/protest against the World Cup, or the fact the game is in the middle of the day so people are working?

It’s hard to remember an English performance that good in an opening game of a tournament.

Didn’t see the game but didn’t we win the first game of the last World Cup 6-1? Which makes Jude Bellingham the new Jesse Lingard. Ooops.

Huge respect to the Iran players who refused to sing their own national anthem in protest against the theocratic monsters who are slaughtering protesters (400 at least so far) in their own country. Bit more than a gesture if any of them want to go home. Could be tricky even in Qatar which is friendly to Iran in the moronic game of thrones it plays with the Saudis.
