An update for you folks, told Nat has agreed terms with Liverpool. Waiting now for the clubs to agree terms

I guess we'll find out. He rarely says anything but on the occasions he has over the past few years, he's been right each time.
Would mean Clyne has played the club a bit then. It would also mean replacing two of our back four.

Info I know:

From person I usually get info from is nothing in around a month. Last they heard he was leaving.

Guy from St Marys said he has changed his mind and signing. As did Billy on Saintsweb (has he ever been wrong? For the Saintsweb users?)

Don't think K Billy has been wrong no, he was very reliable with everything I saw last Summer on Saintsweb, with bits of info from inside the club etc that turned out to be true. Time will tell I guess!

Clyne will go deservedly into the same category of lallana and lovren if he leaves for liverpool. Rightly booed on his return.

Why? He hasn't asked to leave. And there's no requirement he has to sign a new contract for us.

If we were insistent, I have a feeling Clyne would not mind playing out his deal. But we don't want to lose him for nothing.

I'd agree with you if I believed that he hadn't spoken to Liverpool already. I know it happens all the time, but it disgusts me (both sides of that; club and player). Let's just hope Nat decides that he can taste Europa with us and stays. If it drags on, all will be clear by the time July comes and if he is selected or not for the qualifiers.

The biggest danger to us is procrastination.
If Clyny wants out and Liverpool want him, meet out valuation then get out so we can buy in his replacement quickly. He has shown that he isn't the quickest to make a decision, not sure what is taking so damn long but for goodness sake make a decision

One thing you can bet is the majority of media and pundits will be congratulating Clyne on making a great career choice as he takes the meteoric rise from the 7th best team to 6th best team, whilst castigating that upstart sterling as he seeks to leave the special club that is Liverpool for a team that regularly makes the champions league and challenges for the title

Lallana was our captain, promised eternal devotion, then jumped ship when we needed stabilisation. Lovren was given a chance and deserted after one season with snide remarks. Don't put Clyne in either category...is now at the one year left on contract stage when it usually suits both parties to get things sorted. Yes, he's dithered, but he hasn't bad mouthed us and if he goes I think we will do very well out of it. Certainly won't boo him and I wouldn't like to feel we are turning into the kind of fans that would either. Not every player will spend his life here...that is very rare.

He will be going from a very well run and managed team with a fun, family feel to it to a massive club in absolute turmoil with massive expectations that far exceed their ability. Still he will probably double his wages so why should he care

If he went to Liverpool, I would lose my respect for him and it would be for the right reason for him (money) and the wrong reason for the fans who have supported him.

He came here to play regularly week in, week out and improve himself as a player rather than taking the easy route to the top and joining a Man Utd type club. he came here, he has improved and we have shown the world (yet again) that you dont have to be at a top 4 club to get into the England squad.

Liverpool are going nowhere fast and ironically are the club who are facing the meltdown, trouble is, the fans and the staff wont face it. They have an inherent arrogance at the club that they deserve to be the best, just because they have been good in the past and they want to be again now.

The manager has had an atrocious season and has serious weaknesses with how he has dealt with players, his signings being way below par and has lost a lot of the fans. He had a very lucky season last season and is struggling to get a bloated squad back to what he considers his best.

This is not where Nat should be. We have achieved the same as Liverpool and got into the initial stages of the Europa League, his form wasnt great over the course of last season and strikes me as a player that needs to be nurtured back to his best-RonKo is the best man for this job of the 2 managers. I think he could regain his early season form and go on to be a Man Utd type player, but not if he makes the move to Liverpool.
