If we were to lose Clyne, Alderwiereld, Fonte, and Schneiderlin we'd really be up against it. Hopefully, the powers-that-be realize this and don't get cocky about their recent successes in the transfer market.
But I don't think they will. And I think if they hold the line and refuse any offers for Fonte he'll understand and be happy to stay. I put a lot less priority on retaining players than most people here. My thinking is generally if someone will overpay, we should sell because even though it is risky, it's the only way we can grow and compete with the big clubs. But Fonte might be the one exception. Even if someone offered us something ridiculous like 25m, I still wouldn't do it.

Releasing them is not disgusting. If the club don't want them then they are under no obligation to pay them £000's a week. The manner in which they have done so is clearly wrong though.
What about Carles Gil from villa? Sherwood dropped him when he came in, but he looked great in the couple of games he played. Could improve at a better club 
Couldn't agree more though I wanted Morgan to stay at the club, but is there a better option aside from Cleverly what I understand is that United might sign Cleverly. So who would replace MorganCan always rely on you to wake me up with a smile in the mornings.....
