I'm amusing myself today by thinking about Cortese at Liverpool (even though he's probably what they need). We all know what Nicola's attitude toward history and living in the past is...

...add that to Liverpool and their attitude and the fact they constantly witter on about history! Hahahahahahaha

You can just see the camera panning round to see Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish sat in the jeans and jumpers amongst the fans on the Kop, having had to give up their freebies in the Directors box!

Flags and banners depicting 5 stars will be confiscated at the turnstiles and best of all, Cortese will see the real estate value of all the houses that LFC "stole" (read up on it, it's horrific) from local residents as they bought up the surrounding area, and sell it on for fancy flats, keeping the ground at its current capacity!

The final karma coming when he signs a top European star to replace twatbeard who he farms out to Wigan Athletic!!

Gerrard banned from the ground....you'd be able to hear the high-pitched whining anguish from the banks of the Solent.

(On the flip side, they'd probably win the league though).

One thing I've been wondering recently is we all talk about what a realistic wage is for us, eg. "we won't pay 80k a week" etc. which I agree with, but I wonder how much this could change when new tv deal comes in...

It's changing even now with the current TV deal.

Yeah I know, I guess what I'm asking is how far down the line (obvously providing we don't get relegated) will it be when we can pay players that sort of money 80/100k? Can't believe I'm even discussing this...

Yes I have seen people gawping at Milner's £150k a week deal at Liverpool. I think this will be a pretty average wage for a first team player at a top 6 club in the near future. It won't be too long before we have a player on £100k a week I think, and if we realistically have any chance of being a regular challenger for European places we have to adjust wage structure.

It's only going to go up and up, few years ago we would never have paid anyone above 25/30k a week.

Javier Hernandez says he just wants to play football and admits he could leave Manchester United.

The Mexican striker spent last season on loan at Real Madrid from Old Trafford but made just 11 starts for the La Liga side.

Real turned down the chance option to make his stay permanent this month and the 27-year-old returns to United where he has one year left on his contract.

"I want to join a team where I can play and have minutes. If it's at Manchester United or another team, I will be equally happy. My priority is to play."

Please Les make it happen:)
