Anyone for Lucas (if only to troll Liverpool). Bit injury prone, and I would guess wages an issue...but...if he was gettable?
I think this would be similar to the Jimmy Case signing. I was unsure at the time, but look at how successful that turned out. If played to his strength he would certainly be a good addition, but suspect wages would be an issue.

Aston Villa close to signing Adama (19yr old from Barca) for around £12m and trying to get Lennon.

Man Utd close to buying Gaitan for £28m.

Prem clubs going crazy.

So Man U will spend probably around £300m this transfer window?

I envy them. :( Although I'm happy with our business in the transfer market so far, I do think we could do with a coup signing like Shaquiri, Ayew, Payet or Cabaye.

He'll either be a success and be off at the first opportunity, as he believes himself better than them; or have a bad attitude and impress in fits and bursts.

If Shaquiri signed for Saints then i'm not going to lie, I would be excited, but although he has talent he does seem like a bit of a big time charlie when playing for Switzerland. Often looking to do it all on his own and shoot from 40 yards instead of being a team player.

Good luck to Stoke, but I don't think he will have a better season than Mane or Tadic.

I really liked Shaqiri when I watched him a few years ago in the u21 tournament, was comfortably the best player there I thought. Ever since I''ve seen him since though he is just like the Swiss Andros Townsend

With a Vincent Kompany head. Looking forward to them going head to head.

It's been a bit of a funny window. Lots of early activity (odd to think we've signed 6 players) followed by virtually nothing for ages and then (hopefully) a late flourish.

No idea how valid, the guy is supposedly a journo for the Independent. I havent seen anything else linking us to him.

Oriol Romeu is a CDM who can play at CB as well. He's 23 and has spent the last couple of seasons on loan to Stuttgart and Valencia.
