Will do him far more good than hanging around the fringes at Southampton. Gives him a chance to prove himself. Does demonstrate how much harder it will be for our youngsters to go straight into the first team now...may be the long term plan to accommodate youngsters, but will only happen now for the very best. Some (who may be later developers) will be better out on loan at carefully selected clubs.

Think McCarthy would benefit from a loan spell too.
From watching u21s he looked like he was too good for that level, but he is still a distance from a serious role in the first team squad.

McQueen, Isgrove and Turnbull may find themselves on the road

I'm starting to get the impression you're not keen on the guy :emoticon-0100-smile

If as reported it's a loan with option to buy, would Rs fans be happy with that?

Look man, I don't want to come across as one of those asshole fans who starts rubbishing a player to potential new suitors just because he seems to be off to another Club. The truth is, almost every player with a decent pedigree that has come to us in recent seasons has turned to sh*t. We call it the QPR anti-midas touch. So there's summat wrong deep in the Club. In which case it would not surprise me in the least if Caulker went to you guys and developed into a top player, especially given your pedigree in improving players.

All I can go on is how he performed for us last year and on the way to conceding 73 goals, he was the weakest link in the middle. He was okay when he played beside Dunne because Dunne could instruct him but with anyone else he was always making mistakes. We massively overpaid for him (£8m). In saying that, he'd probably do okay in the Championship so I wouldn't mind if he stayed.

But I wouldn't mind if he left either

Hell get a leader in Fonte so that could work very well. He certainly still has potential, I think he's only 24 so a good signing imo if we can get him.

I think he's 23, 24 in December. I'd be happy with a loan move for him. Made bad choices going to Cardiff and QPR, but I think Koeman could get the best out of him.

Not even August and most business done, yet still some fans were moaning. Crazy.

one more CB and maybe one more CM would be great next month.

Fans are rarely happy, but ours in particular seem absolutely impossible to please. Two more players will be plenty, the situation with one of them (VVD) is fairly clear (as is was with Forster last year) and the other is a player to be named later.

The club have done great this summer, only negative was losing Toby and if we get VVD then I think we'll have accounted for that.

"2 or 3"
Well the 2 positions are that we will likely strengthen in (CB and CM) are fairly obvious. If we were to bring in a third, it could be in any number of positions, very interesting.
