Man City have agreed to extend Haaland's contract to 9.5 years, taking it up to 2034, by which time he will be 34 yo.

Mental.

It's just a more official way of doing what Newcastle are doing with Longstaff and Hayden

Lol Pogba, of all the players we don't need, he's pretty much top of the list.

I hope we still go for a striker, ie Jonathan David, but it's looking like nothing will happen at the moment.

Howe said something interesting about this transfer window and the summer one being the same and beyond that things will look very different.

Might as well close this thread and then make and close the summer one instantly.

Was that in reference to this summer or last summer though?

Probably last summer. The yearly cut offs with psr stuff is June isn't it, which is why we had a mad scramble selling Minteh and Anderson then. So the summer 2025 and January 2026 transfer windows would share a budget.
Plus Howe said the exact same thing right before we went and bought Tonali.

Do you have a link to the quote?

Watched the full presser and he was asked I think by Jordan Cronin if selling players now sets the club up nicely for a summer spend.

He essentially replied saying probably not, but then laughed about if he'd still be hear following that and said beyond that things will look very different.

I assume this is ****e, we bought him for defensive cover, and although he hasn't been great, I doubt we'd ditch him now:

Probably just not worth it.. whether people like it or not Kelly is close to being needed at lb or cb and it would cost way more than 6 million to buy a replacement.

We've being getting spoilt with transfers and they'll come again when it's possible.

Same here.

£6m 'profit' less any wages we've already pa8d him. Plus a big reduction in the wage bill.

And for soneone who has bareley featured, despite us having injuries at CB.

They'll still be a loss due to agent fees and signing on fee, but it won't be huge. He doesn't look up to the standard of the rest right now and I don't see a sudden change happening. And yes, his wages are ridiculous and I don't want them setting a precedence.
