The thing is, this is about to start massively biting them on the arse. When Man Utd and Spurs constantly fail to make CL, they'll sharp start to change tune to get rid of the rules. When clubs have boring as **** transfer windows year after year, Sky are going to start moaning about the rules. When the worlds top talent ****s off to the Middle East because nobody can pay for them and the PL is no longer the behemoth it is, as a result, that's when the league will realise what the hells going on.

 

The current rules have impacted them for sure, and that's why they'll be formulating a new set of rules that work for the majority.

I'm still lurking around waiting on the real outcome of the APT case though. There was a reason the loathsome Masters and the majority rushed through the new ones.

It's hilarious that the PL and big clubs have given up even pretending it's about sustainability. The whole notion, the reasoning, for PSR or any measures has effectively been forgotten because the PL is a closed members club and can do what the **** it wants, as long as the 6 fat cats and 8 minnows are happy.

It'll change, as Chaos says, when Spurs/Man U can't spend anymore and when more money comes in for clubs like Everton, West Ham, etc. But right now it's ice-skating uphill for Newcastle, Villa and Forest.

A Turkish kid without a league appearance and no work permit is a far ****ing cry from picking up players like Semenyo, Huijsen, Murillo, Mitoma, and countless others for under £20m who can make an immediate difference. But, sure, this is exactly the same.

@Darren Peacock’s Ponytail - I expect us to be picking up players like this in their ****ing droves, not so few and far between that they actually make the Chronicle's headlines.

 

We've picked up that Georgian lad, this lad, rumours over that Spanish lad. Mitchell only started in the summer. We've signed a couple of Irish lads. We're linked to a couple of Scottish lads.
Hopefully scouts reports will start coming in over next few months. Signings will then follow. Then they'll be our of the chronicle. Then you'll start moaning again as you won't have known we have signed them

So, the only thing that'll scratch your itch is to sign players that aren't household names, but who who are also not completely unknown. Otherwise our scouts are useless, even if nearly all the players we have signed, for more immediate use, have been a success.
