BTW that story is from Romano who is actually right on many things.

After Yesterday I think a new face might help the group... I'm kinda hoping Howe is just actively killing expectations to make his job easier... I'd probably do the same.

Edwards has advised we won't sign anyone even if we sell players

I believe it's true.... there's not one voice coming from anywhere suggesting otherwise.

It would be foolish to think otherwise. Every journo has said it, Howe has said it. He said it in the Summer, and was right. He said it last Jan, and was right. There's no smoke and mirrors here; Howe has the hand he was dealt and I believe has been told to get on with it. He pushed for Kelly, who doesn't play, pushed for Barnes who was barely playing, asked to keep Almiron, Trippier, Wilson, none of whom contribute. I think Howe's his own worst enemy because of his loyalty. It was his downfall at Bournemouth. He persevered with Almiron for too long, he did it with Trippier, did it with Longstaff and he's doing it now with Burn. He'll do it with Pope as well, even though he's clearly done after the shoulder injury (Joe Hart went backwards so fast after a similar injury).

Not facts, of course, just the way I see it.
