Once you see man city are after a player there's only one result. The PSR rules have left the only club that can afford to buy players being the club that's defeated the rules.

Or getting in players before any transfer ban

They'll get a slap of the wrist at best... personally I think they'll win on every single point. The people out there talking about relegations are way off.

All these clubs need is the excuse they need to join the super league and that's where it's all heading 100%.

Dunno mate there’s rumblings of a major points deduction next season and transfer ban. As I said on the finance thread, they are an outlier on PSR by hundreds of millions, I think they’re on £400m+ wiggle room with Arsenal next around £100m. That says they’re worried at least. They’re looking to spend on Khusanov, some Brazilian defender who’s even younger and Marmoush.

So they spend one season in the championship, win it with a record points total, have more than enough money to cover it and enhance that further by the (necessary anyway) sale of Ederson, Walker, De Bruyne. They’ll lose Haaland of course but have an entire season to plot the future.

Not going to happen in a month of Sundays.

If Newcastle do sell Isak and it's probably inevitable at some stage if these performances continue, I'd rather it be Madrid or Barcelona.
Indeed. I'd also much prefer it to be abroad than for a PL rival. It will happen one day, all clubs lose big players, even Europe's elite.
But right now, I don't think Barca have the scope to, despite the press reports. Hopefully we will have a few years of Isak, Botman, Tonali, Bruno & Gordon. But never any guarantees.

I guarantee that there will be no guarantees.

He fits the usual brief. English? Check. Relegated? Check. In a position where he won’t start? Check. Welcome to Newcastle, Harv….. I mean, Kiernon.

It could happen but presumably would mean Longstaff is leaving for another PSR shuffle. Either way he’s bang average, not needed and not wanted.

Apparently we are after Dewsbery Hall. For 30m?
We'd be fools to pay 30mil for him considering that's what Chelsea paid for him as Leicester made them pay over the odds for him in the summer because they'd already taken Maresca from them. Dewsbury-Hall's a decent player and he'd probably do well in a Howe team but his value has diminished from being another of Boehly's unwanted toys who barely plays so if Eddie really wants him it should be on loan with a much lower permanent summer fee if he does well.
