I think they’re alright personally.
I like an all black. I don’t buy the ****ers anyway.
Agreed that the sponsors logo is grim mind.

If that's what Adidas have told Brentford, I do believe it's a load of rubbish. Adidas do very limited bespoke detailing on any of their kits other than the most high profile ones (see the Adidas kits at the World Cup). The only way that solid backs on striped shirts makes for a more standout design is because the natural reaction to it is "well, doesn't that look stupid".Bugger . . . . the back doesn't look right

Sunderland A.F.C. released their new home and away kits yesterday, with both being favourably received, apart from the plain red back on the home shirt.
The decision to have a plain back was not a club decision, though, and neither was it due to any league ruling . . . it was solely down to Adidas.
In a statement ahead of their home kit release, Championship outfit Brentford confirmed that Adidas had decided that all of their partner clubs in the UK who wear stripes will have plain backs as a design choice:
"There will be one difference to the kit this year - a plain red reverse. Our technical partner, Adidas’ design direction for the new season is to provide a plain reverse shirt treatment for all partner clubs in the UK who have stripes within their identity. In combination with more tailored and bespoke detailing throughout the kit, Adidas believe that this will allow them to create more standout designs for clubs in the UK."

Pretty sure the red shorts are the alternates for when there's a clash and it'll be black shorts for home games.
I don't like the solid back but that won't stop me getting one! Always buy the shirts - but it does feel like we're being ****ed over by AdidasThat's correct mate ... But it's still a good top ruined by the back... Imo.
