South Walian here, oh yeah you guys know what I am going to say.

The **** will rot in hell. This was the woman who deregulated the banks and thus allowed them to use our savings to fund bad debt such as takeovers and mortgages to people who couldn't afford them. Before this ***** did that the banks had to interview people looking for loans and wanted financial proof they could pay it all off. So these banks used our money, and the whole system relied on savers not accessing their savings. Her policy led directly to our current financial crisis and yet the media will not report it!

The evil sack of **** also sold off the council houses and that appeared to be a good thing as the working class could finally afford to own a home. But the cow didn't tell anyone that she had no intention of replacing them. There are 1.9m people on council housing lists because there are no houses to put them in, and these are British nationals!

That bitch also deliberately raised the value of the pound for the benefit of her pals in London, manufacturing became unviable as a result as our products became too expensive. Other countries have industry to ride this financial crisis but not us, that ***** destroyed that economy saving industry by supporting an economy destroying one! And all so her rich friends could get richer using our f***ing money and when it went tits up it was us who had to pay for it.

F**k a state funeral! Throw her body on tyre fire because that is cheaper and the black fumes would blend in perfectly with the stench from burning rubber! South Wales will not mourn her!

So what you are trying to say is that you agree 100% with ELLERS?

So... I know that the Kim Jong None avatar is intended ironically and its fun to make fun of dear leader... but will you keep it if war breaks out?

And are you worried that even if we destroy the entire NK army... dear leader could still do some severe damage single handedly rolling on his belly from the Northern mountains to crush Seoul like a modern day Godzilla?

That would be South Korean Psy my good man, not North Korea blowing up the western civilization man.

Yes I'm keeping it <ok> hey sexxy ladies ...(see above)

Bit stupid to accuse those of us who lived as adults through the period of "jumping on a bandwagon". You claim to be looking at the bigger picture but your words suggest you're missing it completely. The big picture shows the long-lasting devastation caused to communities by Thatcherism, the return to 19th Century values of selfishness and greed and disregard for others, and the idea that the workers are only fit to earn a pittance lining the pockets of the privileged (if you don't believe that one read up on Keith Joseph- a major architect of Thatcherism).

The unions had become too politicised and that needed addressing- but their solution was not to put the power back into the hands of the people, but to remove it completely- leaving the working classes with less say in their own lives than they'd had since the beginning of the Labour movement.
Conservatives attack the welfare system as a drain on the country, but the reason it's not economically viable for some to work is not because benefits are too high, but because minimum wages are too low. This is all the result of the monetarist policies of Milton Friedman adopted by the Thatcher government. The small number who are milking the system are not typical and highlighting their devious activities paints a false picture and gives the Daily Mail brigade something else to harumph about.

As for privatisation, selling the family silver is an act of desperation, putting essential services in the hands of private profit seekers is an act of social vandalism.

Good post <ok> I met Sir Keith a few years back and had a great chat with him. I can see you obviously went through the hard times but blaming everything on Maggie is totally wrong. I was lucky in the 80's as I walked straight into a job but remember seeing 'boys from the Blackstuff' and other TV stuff as well as reading the papers and thought I was lucky.
Communities have been made and destroyed throughout history and blaming it all on Maggie is once again wrong. Look at how we stand today and do you believe that having a few mines open is the way forward in a new cleaner World where technology and services/banking is where the money is and keeps this country ticking.
Ask ex President (Sarkozy) why France needed to adapt to a modern World. See how much disruption the unions cause and how they are trying to change (even if most French don't want to).
Things were different back then and she was the best person for that time without a doubt. Love her/hate her she was the best PM since Churchill.

Thatcher's government was in my opinion the most underhanded there has ever been in this nation of ours, and many independent survey's put the true unemployment figures at over 5 million..There was also dubious goings on with her later election victories, with the normally very accurate exit polls giving the Tories 10% less votes in many critical constituencies...This has never happened either before or since..

If you are going to debate at least stick to facts and not some labour hearsay figures. 5M.... never.

There aren't that many people who's demise I would celebrate, but this is a big exception.

From her milk snatching to her support of vile tyranny's (Saddam,Pinochet,Suharto,Apartheid etc.)

The misery and suffering this woman has caused is incalculable, both nationally and internationally.

I'm glad she's dead.

OK guys... pre Saville and Thatchers death.

Kiss one, marry one, kill one. Who do you pick out of.

Saville, Thatcher, Kim Jong-Un.

Mixed views on Thatcher. She came to power at a time when the unions had far to much power and were running nationalised industries into the ground. Remember Red Robbo and the other muppets.

Whoever came to power had to break the unions in order to run the country as the elected government. Whether she went about it the right way is another matter. I remember before she came to power with massive inflation, strikes so often rubbish was piled up in the streets, etc.

Whatever side of the political fence you occupy there is no denying she was a strong leader unlike the past 25 yrs were we have politicians leaking things to the press and if there is a good response it becomes their policy if a bad response they deny they were ever planning it.

Let's also not forget the Labour promise of no income tax rises in order to get elected, they then introduced so many other taxes that we are now have one of the most taxed workforces in the world. I agree that Blair and Brown were just Thatcherites in red ties and presided over a government which was more in the pocket of big business than any government we have ever had leading to the bankers running riot and buggering up the economy for everyone.

Having said all that I find it distasteful that so many people are celebrating the death of a person purely because they disagree with her political views.

fixed. <ok>

Fair enough...

**** Saville because he would be the only one of the three that wouldn't ask for an encore.

Marry Kim - then divorce him for half of North Korea and custody of the NK people.

Guess that means killing Maggy because she is the only one left...

It not as simple as disagreeing with her political views though is it? It's about a moral perspective on the effects of her actions.
People's lives should not be reduced to the level of a political game.
