It's called common decency. Look it up.
Mabon. You weren't the only one who lived through that. I was on there too. Literally. Again, you both miss the point. I find it sad when anyone dies, other than perhaps the worst terrorist aka Mugabe, Saddam, etc. Maybe that's just me.
go you guys, interesting reads, BNP sounds good. could not be worse that the morons you have atm, and i might add i hate both the govt and oppostion we have over her atm
IComparing such heinous monsters to a democratically elected politician in this country is risible.
we're talking about a democratically elected prime minister here.
my generation will be paying for the shambolic way labour has run the country in the past years in the coming decades, but i wont be talking about them in such a vile way.
would any of you fancy a 10 hour shift down the mines tommorrow by any chance?
Swamp i would love to do a 10 hour shift back down the pit any day
Think it's sad to see her pass away, she did a lot for the UK and wouldn't take crap from scumbags like scargill and the unions who tried to run this country. They were responsible for a lot of the crap that was happening back then.
She also did a lot of things that people hated, like the poll tax. I remember back then and saw the hear ripped out of the community. But looking back why should the tax payers fund a failing business, they should crash and burn if they can't stay afloat.
And before you say it, I have never voted for her , or the conservatives ever. But I can see that she was one of the strongest leaders we have ever had. Calling her evil is utterly stupid, she wasn't evil she was an elected politician who we voted in 3 times.
You didn't need to be a miner to be affected by her policies either
She was voted in 3 times, and the conservatives held power until 1997, the electorate had plenty of chances to rid themselves of the conservatives but didn't. I for one think that though I didn't vote for them myself, thatcher was probably the best thing to happen to the country.
Mabon - remember there are two sides to that story. Won't say any more.
Just goes to show that Thatcher is now perceived as either the wrecker of people's lives or the saviour of a nation that was rapidly going down the pan. I can see both sides of that and can respect both views, but whatever the case to positively revel in an 87 year old former politician's death when she'd been suffering from Alzheimer's is sad and this has really brought out the worse side in people. Like Aswan, I'm genuinely shocked.
