.....and apologies in advance.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the vast majority of the time I have spent on this board, we have some outstanding posters in terms of quality thinking, laughs and provocativeness ( not to mention the best mods around) and it has made this season even more enjoyable ( yes as per Rollers thread yesterday, I have really enjoyed it). I especially love the fact that everybody's voice is equal, all views are valid, and apart from the few quickly identified WUMs, we are all Rs to the core. It's a great laugh, as long as its kept in perspective

Apologies because I have noticed my own posts getting spikier as the tension mounts....and I expect this to continue until it's all over either way - in other words, like a few others I guess, I'm beginning to lose my sense of perspective. So if I piss you off with a sharp response over the next week, blame the League table not me. For some reason this is harder than Faurlingate for me - perhaps because then we had a clear enemy, now we have only ourselves to blame. Plus I really hate the Championship, for me there's no romance in Hull.

Bet you thought this was going to be one of those sickening 'I'm leaving the forum' posts.....

Yep agreed. Although I don't spend too much of my online life on here (:bandit:), I've always got a tab open to the forum when I'm engaged on other things and it's usually a good laugh. There is a really good mix of level-headed posters on here. Apart from that Dubliner with the identity crisis of course.

:emoticon-0148-yes: And definitely this. There was a thread earlier which got pulled early on. SBNo10 still going loopy over nowt. It must be a thankless task sometimes and maybe we don't thank Brix or Goldie enough.
 
I think a lot of us are becoming a bit de-sensitized and a bit numb to it all now. I just dont think we have really felt any bond with the majority of the or staff and I personally have found myself thinking..'I dont really care'. Ok,weve had a few fab wins,but I cant say Ive really enjoyed this season. All too often we seem to see a lack of team spirit,no pack leader,no urgency,no real fight or real passion for the shirt and badge.In patches we have looked good,but in most we havnt played for each other,as a team,backed each other up or really cared?. I dont know what to think anymore,but I suppose I just stopped caring about some of the team and management...I cant believe where we were this time last year...blimey!

Agree with this too. Maybe when it's out of your hands then you get a bit more fatalistic about the whole thing. When it's all over in a couple of weeks then, whether we're up or down, we'll have a long summer to argue over where it all went wrong this time out. I think you've got the nail with regards to the "team". For whatever reason (or reasons) we just haven't been a team this season.

And you're right, that's got nothing to do with League position.
