Once everyone has had a shout about Pochettino's lack of loyalty, I suggest we need to wind our necks in. Most of us were very upset when Nigel was fired....for a few games, then Nicola had done the right thing. We had no problem when players who had won us promotion were dropped like a stone come the new season, so asking for loyalty is a bit rich. Loyal player gets an injury? Pity...get him off the payroll ASAP!
So if it is confirmed that MP has gone I will be disappointed and concerned at why he felt Spurs were a better bet. But I shall not waste my energy in anger. I support the club, regardless of who's the manager. I have enjoyed the best season I can remember. I hope it's not the high-water mark for Saints. Time will tell.
Agree very much with this. I haven't commented on the situation yet partly because I made my peace with the fact that this was going to happen months ago and partly because it's pretty redundant, but this sums up a lot of my thoughts. In particular about loyalty, it's something I've really been taking notice of recently, players and managers in the modern game give just as much loyalty to fans as fans do to them. You love and respect them whilst they are here, then as soon as they are gone you don't give a toss about them and your opinion of them suddenly changes overnight.
