There is enough space in my heart and my life that I can both continue to root for Saints and dislike MP and not feel my energy is wasted. So that's what I'm gonna do.
Catchy. What tune are you going to use. I'm having trouble finding music to go with Die, Die You Bastard...by a thousand cuts.
They do say that hate can fill up your life and leave no room for anything else, but I like to think that I have infinite capacity. Don't like to put limits on myself.
Yes, and if things aren't going well for Spurs, how about a rousing chorus of "sacked in the morning, you getting sacked in the morning,..." Worked for Hoddle......
A Saints an on Twitter (@antonydjames) has posted this open letter in response to Mauricio Pochettino's open letter... please log in to view this image
There's a lot of anger on here today - and not just on this thread. I feel it too, but not especially toward MP. It's more towards the rotten structure of the English game overall - where we'll run clubs generating their own talent don't stand a hope in hell of breaking through the glass ceiling into the top places and are therefore doomed to a Perpetual cycle of relegation and promotion or mid table mediocrity. Having been through these cycles, I wish I could now just walk away from it. I don't see the board or the league doing much to cheer us up.
Strangely don't feel gutted at all - good manager yes, great manager - possibly not, time will tell. We finished 8th. Under Atkins would we have finished 8th with this team, probably not. 10th? Possibly. Poch did have a v good set of players to work with. When we went out the cup I realised I could happily do without him. As for the references to having a year left on his contract; lol,as empty as it gets. I wish him no luck at all at spurs. And he will need a lot of it.
Yes, but it's always going to happen. Other clubs will always be 'bigger' and have more money and the media will always agitate for the best players to move to the top clubs. I don't see any of that changing - so all we are doing is growing talent for others. 8th is the highest we will ever get.
Depends. Poch was brought here by Cortese and will no doubt have been sold on the job with promises of going for the Champions League etc. Cortese has gone and from what you've said Shaw is very likely to leave, Lallana is probably off too and there's a chance we won't be re-investing the money in the squad. If that's the case then no I don't blame him.
I thought the other day Puck, you were on the verge of giving up on football a little due to the effect of all the money and how it affected people's decisions (or words to that effect)....? Edit: Puck - I've just read your initial post that preceded this one and this one now makes sense to me... apologies.
Why should we thank him! I think not. He was signed to do a job and he was well paid to do it. How many of you have thought of the few teams who did double over us, Spurs were one of them. Ironic or what?
Got a text from a spurs supporting friend last night. He's not delighted. He asks, who wants a manager who has shown so little loyalty to a club that has apparently been good to him?
Good riddance MP....Can't deny you did well albeit with £36M and a talented squad which was already in place prior to your arrival. You obviously have no affinity for SFC and its supporters, you made that obvious at Craven Cottage after our 3-0 victory. I watched you every step trudging head down from the dugout across the pitch, not once lifting your head to acknowledge the fans who had travelled in great numbers. Might not bother some fans but that really p*ssed me off. Now p*ss off and fall on Levy's sword.
