For the memories. Regardless of how sour it finished in the end, Gus gave me the best memories I have had whilst supporting Sunderland and likely will have for some time.

I will never forget the feeling of euphoria when Mannone saved Rafael's penalty and better yet Borini's goal in the final, I was there to experience it and it was ****ing awesome. Then going on such a run at the end of the season when we seemed dead and buried.

It was only aged and poor strikers that let him down in the end. Gus will be a top manager with a team like Fulham.

Defo gave us one of the most memorable seasons in a long time. Followed by one of the most boring strangely enough. Bizarre seasons both especially last.

I absolutely hate the ****er as a bloke and as a manager I think he's inept but whether through his word work, talent or dumb luck he gave us some great times and did as much as he could.

I'd love to see a banner or something going up wishing him luck at West Ham or the Mags. It won't happen of course but it'd be good to show him, you said **** about us, we said **** to you... no hard feelings.

I'm glad someone said this, mate, because it deserved to be said.

Gus, I think, was an old-style manager. He was never going to agree with a di Fanti, never going to live with a Congerton, never going to agree with anybody but himself. He was essentially a Brian Clough, a Jock Stein, an Alax Ferguson type manager, i.e. the gaffer or nothing. A criticism? - No, it would be a brave man to criticize the achievements of Tom Watson, Herbert Chapman &co. But Britain was currently experimenting with European ideas whilst South America was not. And the two, quite simply did not gell.

Gus entered the fray with the question unanswered ... and left it that way. Bon voyage, Gus, and thanks for the good bits of what you had to offer.

Goes in with Bruce for me, a decent manager and one who overall did OK, but ****ed it at the end.

I wish him well, even if I don't like the fella.

That PDC vid man, Vaughan's goal was ****ing ridiculous wasn't it? And PDC's reaction to it was such genuine emotion, ****ing hell we need that back.

Knee slides in a 3k suit man, PDC had some character about him, no question.

He's a good man. Tried his bollocks off for our club.

I hope he goes on to have a good career, I also think he's capable. Our job is a very tough one for a young manager.

Thanks and good luck

This is what puts me off clement
See I'd quite like him to get it. Not enthused about Allardyce at all.got absolutely no time for the man, although he is a safe pair of hands, no doubt. I remember MClaren having some awful times at Boro after some initial success. Think he's a bit wet me.

Hoddle? It wouldn't be dull. Don't like him much either though. God why are they all ****s?!
