Good news but early doors for all this. Find a site, buy it, obtain planning permission, build the bugger A good few years down the line but he's going about it in the right way ie. just getting on with it!

Tony Fernandes reveals 'great first step' in QPR search for new stadium tony-fernandes http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...ep-in-qpr-search-for-new-stadium-7920540.html Queens Park Rangers 06 July 2012 QPR chairman Tony Fernandes believes the club have made a "great first step" in their search for a new stadium. The Malaysian businessman's comments came shortly after the west Londoners revealed a major announcement would be made next week that could help turn the club into a "global" brand. It has been suggested Monday's announcement will be about a move away from their Loftus Road home to a new stadium, although there are reports that QPR will unveil a South Korean player. It is though the club are interested in Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yueng, while bookmakers SkyBet have suspended betting on Manchester United's Park Ji-sung joining the Hoops. In an invite sent to the national and international media, QPR said: "The announcement will put the QPR brand on a global scale and is further demonstration of the board's continuing efforts to move the club forward and become established in the Barclays Premier League. "QPR chairman Tony Fernandes, vice-chairman Amit Bhatia, manager Mark Hughes and CEO Philip Beard will all be in attendance. "Please note, the club is in no position to make any further comment on the announcement of this press conference." Fernandes revealed earlier this week that the club are evaluating three potential sites for a new stadium and that as many as four more signings could be made this summer. Discussions on the former seem to be progressing well, with the Rs chairman posting on Twitter today: "Excellent stadium meeting Wow. Looks great. Going to make big announcement. Hopefully see amit [Bhatia, vice-chairman] in a few hours to brief him. Wow." He then added: "Stadium will be in west london. Will not lose overall atmosphere. Lots to do and many pitfalls but great first step."
It's a stadium which will fly around the world, first stop Korea. Or something. Or massive sponsorship deal.
The atmosphere was the 12th man that beat Chelsea last season. Bosingwa and Drogba couldn't handle the heat - they'd never heard an away crowd be anything other than respectful to them - got the hump and saw red. Terry saw red in a different way later in the match and our team and our crowd walked off with the three points.
Dont forget Mata refusing to take a corner and then faking an injury to get off. The new ground wont be as close but Ill be happy if its 2/3 yards and not 10+yards like other places.

I would hope its the announcement we have bought the land, to me that and getting planning permission is the huge thing. I would be pretty unhappy if we just got a pompey style vision of the future that might never happen.
You have to give this board credit Flyer, they are keeping their promises. By the way, coming over for the Saints game, hope you are around as i am sure you will want the last round/word
Tony Fernandes and Amit are NOTHING like Pompey owners...these guys make things happen, no doubt we will have our shiny new stadium in the next year or 2....with leg room.....soooo much leg room!
Id be dreaming of a stadium where people can get past without you having to stand up, my row are a complete bunch of drunks so they come in late, go for a pee, leave early to get a HT beer, come back late and then need a 2nd half pee but they dont come and go at once so I have to get up and down 20 times a game, it got so bad that I moved a row behind. Still, not as bad as the NL block phantom farter.
