I agree it shouldn't be a court matter but the CPS have to look into it it someone complains and they've been looking at it for weeks now and have decided it merits going to court which suggests there's more to it than we know. It will probably help him in the end as it'll most likely be found to be 'not proven' and the FA will probably go along with that. If it had all been dealt with by the FA he'd probably be facing at least the same punishment as Suarez but at least it would be done with. As it stands it will be talked about for the next 5 weeks and then, whatever the outcome, the FA will have to decide what they want to do about it, dragging it out until March at least, five months after the bloody match.

Why should the manager criticise the fans? The fans support the club and can express whatever opinion they want and our manager is probably thinking it has nothing to do with him so he'll stay out of it.

Not sure why but during the Spurs game the thought popped into my head that on the one hand Chelsea fans are saying Ferdinand didn't actually hear it and is just stirring but on the other Terry's defence seems to rest on the cameras not picking up everything he said and in fact his whole comment was "no, I wasn't calling you a black ****" in response to Ferdinand asking the question. One of them can't be right.
