Hey Tom I am instructing you to not score any goals so we can cut your pay 50% and you Longy, today you have to let 8 goals in so we can cut your pay 50%. Not sure that would work?

You start looking at the untimely exit of Lichaj/Irvine. Team selection. Persistence with a non working formation. Making the exact same mistakes week in and week out. The manner in which we rolled over in games. It wouldn’t be in the slightest bit surprising. The players as a part of taking a 50% reduction will also no doubt have the security of a release clause.

It's uttlery ridiculous and non-sensical to talk of or buy into this 'managed relegation' conspiracy. It's absolute bollocks. We were just ****, and others that looked near gone picked up more points, way more in some cases, than expected. We did somehow manage to beat Middlesboro (which we wouldn't have bothered doing under the conspiracy would we).

They said a few weeks back that they were working on 2 plans - 1 for Championship, 1 for if they were relegated. That is fair enough; sensible.

Where does this 80% pay cut for McCann't and Cliff Edge come from? GB states he keeps reading about it, but I haven't seen or heard anything other than the odd unsubstantiated rumour peddled on here. Not saying it isn't correct, I could absolutely believe it's happened.
I didn’t say 80% I said 20%. I find the concept of the coach getting 20% cut and the players 50% absolutely incredible. Like you I don’t have a conspiracy theory about relegation. I don’t know what the plan is because the club won’t tell us. I think we were relegated because we were the worst team in the division. We also had the worst coach and the worst assistant who if the rumours are to be believed will take a much less cut than the players who then are expected to give their all.

The manager will be on much less than a lot of the players were.

Apologies. Simple typo (corrected). Although 80% cut would be more fitting.

If it is a managed relegation that would be scandalous and I would hope the EFL would throw the book at them all. Again if true I wonder if the players were complicit. As professionals I would hope they had more about them but the last 20 games were certainly suspicious
It seems extremely harsh to blame the players.

They were all recruited, many instigated by McCann and approved by E.A. They came with a mixture of "talent" and experience, mostly at lower level leagues. All with lower attributes than the players who have departed over the last few years.

Those players were destined to follow the instructions/tactics of the on-field management team. Chopping & changing of line-ups can, and often does, lead to confusion. Injuries may have played some part. Off field issues would have triggered doubt within the ranks.

A cauldron for engendering insecurity into the players mindsets. Hardly conducive to success is it ?

I have this awful feeling he will be in charge next season.

awful isnt it... its going to be difficult to have any enthusiasm for next season with McCann in charge.

It's bad enough still having the Allams as owners, but at least with a likeable manager you can concentrate on the football.

Hopefully we hear something next week.. surely Ehab will do some sort of interview with the Yorkshire Post or with Burnsy.

Our form since January must have been the worst in any professional division in the world. We where in free fall before the break and I thought we would turn it around when it restarted as he would have worked out what we were doing wrong! Came back lost a few players and it seems the dressing room. I think with a crowd we could have giving them the kick up ass they needed. Same tactics players seeming not to know how to play as a team. No leader on the pitch. First time in over 50 years that I have seen a team with no fight or idea what to do in the last must win/not lose games.
Can't believe the attitude of our so called manager. Nothing personal against him but should be sacked immediately.
As for the owners could have had it all but totally ruined it with there attitude towards the supporters and anyone who disagreed with them.
Been a pass holder for 50 years seen all the ups and downs but now this is the lowest and the least bothered I have felt if that g makes sense.

It's the worst in the history of the Championship.... OFFICIAL

I've just got back from a lovely 5 days at the coast enjoying sun, sea and sand, which was extremely enjoyable. I was hoping my joyous time was at least going to be maintained by the news that Terry had gone.

Clearly, he hasn't and is not likely too. Well, God help us next season, because I just can't see this guy turning our fortunes around. We know he has been deal a rough hand, but even with the players he has had this last season he should have easily avoided relegation.

an interesting look at Hull City from the outside... forget the first 3 minutes.... did I miss something, Steve Bruce was sacked and then re-instated...?
