99% of our fans hated Barton and couldnt wait to get rid of him, thats what separates us from you, you still want a racist to captain your club. We wanted to get rid of Barton.
You really shouldnt bring family members into this, I could bring up drug dealing, theft and causing suicide and thats just Terrys Parents and brother.

Except that you cannot prove that he made any racist comments, as stated by the judge who ruled on the incident.

Or are you saying that the FA is above the law (as they themselves seem to think)?

    Fighting Racism
Chelsea Football Club practices a zero tolerance policy towards racism at Stamford Bridge and takes a leading role in all the major anti-racist campaigns such as Kick Racism Out of Football, Show Racism the Red Card and all Uefa backed Europe-wide campaigns

    time to prove it then

Correct. JT had no chance against a panel whose decision was made before the hearing started.

    FCUK them.

The only thing that will change is that sometime in the next few years JT will cease being Chelsea captain ........................

he will ALWAYS be a Chelsea legend.

Liverpool Football Club have a zero tolerance to racism. At the time of the Suares incident they made an official statement banging on about their proud history of fighting racism. Were you on the Liverpool board at the time asking why they didn't sack Suares or are you only cocnerned about racial language when the accused is wearing a Chelsea shirt?

    Sorry Drogs <blush>

Exactly, if it can't be proved "beyond a reasonable doubt " in a Court of Law, then the FA's regulations are an attempt to place themselves above the Law. The "balance of probabilities" is way short of justice.
By the way, I am of the opinion he said it, but am so anti the fools at the FA, it's them that we should be judging. Are they complete wanders??
The "balance of probalities" says they are.

The FA have dealt their low public perception another hammer blow by this barmy judgement! Wasting 4 days on a case that was something that routinely happens in a large number of football matches i.e a spat between 2 players, clearly suggests the committee have bug**r all to do most of the time and get paid loads to do it!

Just going to add my view, from what I read it seems He is 100% guilty and got away likely or the FA screwed up for a change, so unlike them.

My opinion is, no way is he in any way racist. Not guilty on that charge, but in what world has it started to be ok to speak like that doesnt matter whats happened or been said in a public arena where this guy whether he wants to be or not is a role model for too many people. He should be banned just on those grounds, as should anton and any other so called professional with the inability to speak like a mature normal person on a football field.

So i think 4 matchs is fair, he will be back in no time doing a job no other CB can in our defence, but still being a tool! :) at least its all done with now..

Well said, Blue_Army. That is a very honest appraisal.

In all honesty, I would not seek to defend any Spurs player who used such language against another player.

I am quite intrigued as to why you felt that was more appropriate to what was originally said HIAG. You see it is because I believe that it epitomises people's true feelings about this whole affair. People are not actually interested in the fight against racism or justice, they are interested in the fight against John Terry. The whole racism debate has been merely a bi-product for many people against an individual who they hate who plays for a team that they probably hate too. It could have been anything as far as they're concerned, as long as it's damaging enough to make a serious demand for Terry to be removed from the game for good. That is the saddest thing about this very distasteful run of events. If people like yourself and others who have commented in a similar fashion had a choice between whether John Terry made racially abusive comments or not, I have a strong and unfortunate feeling that you would choose the former. And that is because all they are interested in is their agenda to punish Terry and have a much lower will in genuinely kicking racism out of the game, if any.

Perhaps because it isn't true - Terry has been punished for using racist insults - check the FA website Miggins, don't just read tabloids and vomit it back up...

"The Football Association charged Mr Terry on Friday 27 July 2012 with using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Queens Park Rangers’ Anton Ferdinand and which included a reference to colour and/or race contrary to FA Rule E3[2] in relation to the Queens Park Rangers FC versus Chelsea FC fixture at Loftus Road on 23 October 2011.

The charge was the result of The FA’s long-standing investigation into this matter, which was placed on hold at the request of the Crown Prosecution Service and Mr Terry’s representatives pending the outcome of the criminal trial.

A hearing took place from 24-27 September 2012 before an Independent Regulatory Commission of The FA to consider the charge.

The decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission is as follows:
•Mr Terry be suspended from all domestic club football until such time as Chelsea’s First Team have completed four competitive matches
    •Fined the sum of £220,000"

You'll struggle to find a Spurs fan who condones that. If we're comparing though, at least he had the balls to own up and apologise for his behaviour, Terry will go to the grave insisting he said "Oi Anton, I never called you a..." in the second or so Cole's head blocked the view of the camera.

The biggest thing to come from this though is that the FA and clubs involved let Anton down. No wonder racism isn't reported on the pitch often, looking at the abuse he and Evra have got for doing nothing wrong, who would want to put themselves and their families through that?
