i'm getting the same issue dave and with ticking the 'remember me' box it's no biggie though, just wanted to report it!
1-1 Dave well i did that last night for another purpose, however i'm still logged in now so seems ok thanks
At the top of the page - above where it says Norwich City is a tab marked 'Forum actions' Click it, then 'edit profile' and then on the left hand side is an 'edit avatar' tab wher. after clicking, you can import your thumbnail, then hit 'OK' or 'save' when done
Dave, DH and or Maestro, any idea why each time a post is made I get the option "stay on" or "leave" this page as a pop-up? Starting to get mildly annoying and has only started happening last 3 or 4 days. Thanks.
Hi Cromer, it's one of the little niggles associated with the double posting we have since the site was upgraded recently! The site owner is working hard to try and rectify the problem, please be patient! Thank you
The double posting seems to be to do with posting on a thread to which others have added a post while you have been writing. I expect the site owner is on top of it, but that's how it seems to me anyway. [EDIT] The signal that you are about to double post is the appearance of the popup warning that stuff in the editor will be lost if you leave the page. If this happens when you have clicked on "Submit reply", delete the content of your reply still in the reply box and click on Cancel. You will find that, despite clicking Cancel, the reply has been posted -- once! Apologies if people have sussed this out, but it seems the problem is still there at the moment.
I'm going to take a guess at 10, as that's when you'll change from "Newbie" to "Member". Failing that it might be 100 when you become a "Senior Member". I'll try and find out though. Edit: There are users with 0 posts who have avatars, so it must be to do with the image size, unless something changed in the last software update.
Nothing to do with this site, more a general query. This morning, on start up, I had the little yellow shield saying "updates are ready for your computer. Click here..." So I did, as per usual. They were mainly Windows security updates plus one from NVIDIA. After installing them, the whole appearance of my desktop and top and bottom toolbars had changed and every single icon was microscopic I can change the size of the text and images on each page by using <ctrl> + or -, but there's nothing I've found in Google Chrome to restore the size of desktop and toolbar icons. I did a system restore, which worked - but now, of course, there are "updates waiting to be installed" so round in a circle we go! As will be obvious by now, I'm no computer expert, so would appreciate help. If anyone else runs Chrome and has found a way of sorting this, I'd be very grateful If it's too tricky to explain, feel free to PM me a number and I can ring for 'hands on' assistance. Thanks.
On Chrome you should have a tab to the right or your URL bar that looks like three bars... go in there to customize your settings.
I've tried that, it will let me customise font size and page zoom from there but there's no option to make my open tabs larger - I often have twitter, gmail, not 606, BBC sport etc all open and pinned to the top toolbar all at once. Thanks for the suggestion
CC, if all else fails, save your bookmarks to the hard drive, remove Chrome and download it again. That should be a permanent solution
Does anyone know how to copy a video URL (e.g.from youtube) using an ipad?)... do bear in mind I will subject you to my music taste on the music threads more often if u are foolish enough to help me(!).
