Wonky, I have no idea about this, but if this plea brings no help you might try PM'ing brb the Gillingham mod, he seems pretty clued up on technology!
Somehow can't add a picture saved on my computer to a thread (the ok button is missing) but is fine when I want to add a picture from a URL?
Maestro, dave Saw the binner thread moaning about their lack of banner, what happened with our new one from harry the wizard? Is it still coming??
Its just a fun thing where people can give you 'rep' if they like your posts. A bit like the old start ratings on bbc606 I suppose.
Not really an issue, but just curious. Occasionally, I have a look at what's going on on my windows phone ( I am SO down with modern technology! ). For some reason, the banner is still the old one.
This is off the Mod's Board. Reputation. In answer to a few questions that have been asked by new members recently, reputation was added to the program to enable people to show either their approval or disapproval of comments made by other posters. If you click on the star at the bottom of the comment concerned, you can approve or disapprove of the comment and leave a reason why you do so. The higher your rep power is, the more points the OP or the person who's comment you're voting on gets. That's if you're voting that you approve of course. If you vote that you disapprove, you take points off the total of the person concerned. After voting there's a panel (Your comments on this post) where you can say why you've left the rep or the reason for doing so. It sometimes get's abused by people voting either for or against the person who's comment they're voting on rather than the comment itself. Try and be fair and use the system as it was meant to be used with no personal attacks on anyone.
Not really a 'tech' issue, but can anyone please explain why every time I visit the smiley/emoticon page, they've moved around all over the place? The <wink> symbol has been in AT LEAST two different places already today
Several mods have asked the site owner if they could be regulated but tha answer appears to be no! There have been times when I've searched for a particular smiley, and I've had to trawl through them all before finding it, very frustrating!
How do you do what David's done here (http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/177587-Injured-again!)? If I knew how to do it, I'd have made 'here' a link, but I don't, so I didn't...
Hucks, when you pasted that link, you first had to copy the url from the article you wish to link! Once you've copied the url, write your post then highlight the word or phrase you wish to use, then click on hyper-link which is sixth from the right at the top of the reply box, empty the box (delete http etc) and paste the url in there then click ok!
