Caglar Soyuncu is waiting on a work permit to see if his transfer will go through. Nampalys Mendy is out injured as is Matty James. Jonny Evans could be available and James Maddison is fine. Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy are in the squad. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel Periera Evans Morgan Maguire Chilwell Ndidi Iborra Gray Maddison Iheanacho Subs- Ward, Fuchs, Silva, Albrighton, Ghezzal, Diabate, Vardy
Depending on fitness for Evans Schmeichel Periera Evans/Morgan Maguire Chilwell Ndidi Iborra Silva Gray Maddison Iheanacho Subs- Ward, Fuchs, Evans/ Morgan, Albrighton, Ghezzal, Diabate, Vardy
Kasper Pereira Evans/Morgan Maguire Chilwell Iborra N’didi Gray Maddison Albrighton Iheanacho Subs: Ward, Morgan/Benalouane, Fuchs, Silva, Mendy, Diabaté, Vardy Maybe Ghezzal for Fuchs?
I would like to see: Schmeichel Morgan, Evans, Maguire Pereira, Ndidi, Iborra, Silva, Chilwell Maddison Iheanacho
Whilst it looks best on paper, I just can’t see him going to 5 at the back now, with 3(?) days of training with Evans
Schmeichel, Amartey, Morgan, Maguire, Chilwell, Ndidi, Silva, Pereira, Maddison, Gray, Iheanacho Subs- Ward, Fuchs, Evans, Albrighton, Iborra, Ghezzal, Vardy
Leicester City XI v Man United; Schmeichel, Pereira, Maguire, Morgan, Chilwell, Gray, Amartey, Silva, Ndidi, Maddison, Iheanacho #MUNLEI
Pretty decent first half once we got going. Youd have though if one of the chances Nacho had fell to Vardy, he'd have snatched one in by now. We are reportedly freezing Simpson out why?
Don’t get that with Simpson, he’d be as good a option as Amartey if we are playing Ricardo on the wing. Good performance so far though, would like to see Vardy on and Ghezzal and drop Ricardo back
Dear Claude Dont play Amartey at right back unless we have to. Once Soyuncu and Evans are fit and available dont play Wes And 442 isnt our best formation anymore Yours sincerly Proud Fox
Most positives than negatives imo. Vardy and Evans in for a start will make us more convincing in both final thirds. Impressed with Gray, Maddison and Chilwell (a couple of crosses aside). Ricardo looked good going forward, not so good at the back but better than Amartey
Agreed about Simpson. For 2 seasons he had a player in front of him who wouldn't cover back and left him exposed. Now, when we have Ricardo willing to track back we drop him in favour of Amartey? Feel sorry for him. Good performances from Maddison, Gray, Ricardo and Chilwell. Adrien Silva guilty again of being too slow on the ball and getting caught in possession. Don't understand why Maddison was taken off, unless it was due to the yellow card.
Yeah I get if Ricardo is playing RB over Simpson but not Amartey. Ghezzal looked to have something based on his debut. Once he has settled in maybe Ricardo will drop to RB and Ghezzal, Maddison and Gray the 3 behind Vardy. Maddison didn’t get a yellow (was lucky not to) so I don’t get it. I’d have taken Nacho off as the play was going through Madders
Good performances tonight, looked alot better on the ball with Maddison ticking things over in the middle. Grey had a decent match, hope he can continue it rather than it being a 1 off like Everton last season. Gotta start Vardy next week surely, a couple of chances were crying out for Vardys pace/right foot.
Overall a positive night but we just found out what we already know. Amartey can do a job a right back but thats it. Shouldnt even play there ahead of an actual right back Morgan is too slow and flat footed and time to move aside to Evans, Maguire, Soyuncu and Benkovic now Maddison first player to look decent in the number 10 role for a very long time for us. Wilf will tackle anything that moves Silva looked a little better but I want him to try and control games more Ghezzal looked ok but not seen enough to judge him
Thought Iborra offers so much more than Silva - to have 2 bases works to let those ahead play. Amartey was awful. Time to drop Pereira back or play Simpson. Maddison will be a big player and will improve. Interesting to see no Okasaki on the bench. Think Albrighton will come in - missed his work rate. Well done Chilwell.
