Diamond seems to have a lot of confidence in his ability but his decision making is lacking , his link up play with Power was fairly good but all to often the ball was not delivered in to the box , it was not all down to Diamond though because Power was just as culpable. The partnership is in its infancy so by playing together hopefully it will develop , time will tell .

I'm surprised at how many people are saying Diamond was poor. Every time he ran at them, their defence looked terrified. He was direct, beat his man and generally retained the ball well. He looked lacking in composure around the box and when in front of goal, but in those instances, he'd done brilliantly to fashion the opportunity to score.

I'd have him in the team straight away. If a winger has the beating of his man, the opposition are far less likely to use overlapping full backs.

It wasn't his best game but it's clear that he's a real prospect. He's quick, good on the ball, two footed and composed. Maybe needs a bit of encouragement to shoot when he gets a chance rather than waiting for a sitter.

Him and Gooch out wide will be a nightmare for defences at this level.
