Nope, no Hull visitors. It's not really surprising when you have nothing to shout about, nothing to gloat about, and definitely nothing to wind us up about. Kramaric has shown promise, think he could still come good. Don't write him off just yet. As for Okazaki, he has been an integral part of our early season form. Him and Vardy work really well together, he's been a great signing for us, so far. Relatively cheap at £8m or so, not sure who else we could have signed instead who would do a similar job tbh.
We've only got that useless twonk Inler, why did we bother chasing him in the summer when we could have just gone for Maloney?
Nah, it can't be, he'd walk right in to our team. Again, he'll be more use out wide than that Mahrez guy
All he does is fall over that Mahrez. It's a wonder he didn't fall over when he scored against them last season or the other night.
Fair enough, I thought you were just on the wind-up, but if you genuinely think you're in with a chance of European football next season then that's rather amusing. As I said, we've been there before. In the Champions League places after a quarter of the season or so, there's normally a minnow or two that come out flying at the start of the season, if you think you're going to stay there, frankly, you're even thicker than I thought. Best of luck for the season anyway, I think this has run it's course. We'll see what your European prospects look like come May.
Hallelujah Close the thread. Let them crawl back to the Championship board and hopefully we wont have the misfortune of crossing paths again in a very long time.
It's a matter of opinions there's only a few of yours I would take , and one of those is on a hot streak at the moment , infact I would say there's only a few of your players anybody would take
See, this is why I just can't take you lot seriously. We are sitting 5th in the Premier League, widely applauded by pundits and opposition fans alike for our exciting play, the attitude and desire in our performances... Yet only a few of these players would get in the team of the mighty Hull Tigers
The team that played and beat Palace 1-0... 01 Schmeichel 17 Simpson 05 Morgan 06 Huth 28 Fuchs 11 Albrighton (Okazaki - 63' ) 04 Drinkwater 14 Kanté 15 Schlupp 26 Mahrez (Dyer - 79' ) 09 Vardy Substitutes 02 de Laet 10 King 19 Kramaric 20 Okazaki 24 Dyer 32 Schwarzer 33 Inler Ain't none of your lot even touching the bench
Of course we're in with a chance. Everyone with the league is. We've not got a massive chance, obviously, but given how we've played since March (half a season's worth in games) I think it's fair to say we've got a better chance than a fair few other teams in the league. There's also a minnow that appears in the top 6 of the Championship after 10 games every year that eventually tails off. Personally I think we'll finish in the top half just about and I think we'll tail off towards March/April when injuries and complacency take toll. Between 8th and 10th. I don't think we'll get European football but we're certainly in with a chance. I think you'll finish between 5th and 8th. So, again, do you really think that a team who is looking to sneak promotion from the championship has the same prospects as one that is trying to sneak into European football?
I think you're hopelessly deluded, but as I said, we'll see come May won't we. I'd be surprised if you finished top half. Your team are clearly playing above themselves in the league and you don't appear to have a great deal of depth. I'm sure you disagree. I never said we had the same prospects this season, obviously we don't. I said in the grand scheme of things. Both teams are looking to establish themselves in the Premier League. Once more, you've made it clear you don't believe that's the case. Clearly we disagree, hence why I said it's probably easier to put this to bed rather than keep on covering old ground.
It's all a matter of opinions I look down that list of players , and all I see are some poor pl players , some average pl players and a few good pl players , I would take Davies over both your centre backs I can think of three of our centre midfielders I would take over drinkwater , elmo beats Simpson all day long
You young stags do like to lock horns don't you? Time for some pontificating from and older (not necessarily wiser ) head ... We have had a terrific start to the season, there is no question - we were the last team to get beat and currently only ourselves and the Spuds have only one loss. Is there a chance that we will suffer a slump in form - yes of course - it happens Is there reason / rationale for some optimism that this won't happen? - yes there is - one loss in the middle of a good spell last season to Chelsea - one this, to Arsenal - both of these arguably the very best in the division at the time we played them - but we bounced back from each defeat and continued the general good form - some merit in the comments that if you add both spells together we have now gone close to half a full season with only 2 defeats - and those against the very best. Do some teams start very well in the Prem, perhaps surpassing real ability and then fade? - yes - it happened to West Ham last season and to Hull and Blackpool previously in fairly recent seasons Is there a chance that this won't happen? - yes equally - Southampton and Swansea have shown that 'surprise' teams can maintain overall form throughout a season. Whilst appreciating that a slump in form is distinctly possible (as history has demonstrated) - what factors might possibly differentiate the current Leicester City team from previous good starting teams that then faded? For me: 1) Many surprise start teams do this in their first season in the Prem and fade as they get 'found out' - we did the hard yards last season and have continued with a hardened mentality having served a tough apprenticeship 2) Strength in depth - this is almost certainly the strongest squad ever assembled at the club - until recently the Swiss and Austrian national captains could not force their way into the strating line-up - one still can't. Our top scorer from last season can't get a starting place currently - the second string is packed with current full internationals. 3) Goals - we have bags of goals in us - either in the starting line up or from the bench. Teams that can't score in the Premier League inevitably struggle - our problem is keeping a clean sheet (but we seem to be improving in that area). 4) Transfers - our owners are willing to spend as our summer transfers have shown - plus - only those surplus to rquirements are being allowed to leave (David Nugent for £4 fookin million - still don't know how we pulled that off!!! ) - if we need to strengthen in January we will - but not from having to sell to buy - and from a position of some strength rather than desperation. 5) Bucking the trend - it is not inevtitable that we will fade away - trends are there to be bucked - and we have confounded many critics and pundits already - so there is no logical reason as to why it can't continue. 6) Mentality (and not a little skill) - we have strong characters in this team. Vardy is a street fighter snubbing his nose at everthing and everybody and letting his performances speak for themself - Huth is a warrior - Kante arguably the find of the season, simply stops the oposition playing by denying them time on the ball - Mahrez possibly the most naturally skilful player in the Premier league - Fuchs, the best name. 7) Pace - in abundance - evidentially the quickest team in the Prem ... Schlupp, Vardy, Albrighton and Mahrez in all in the top 10 Prem speedsters statistically (if not the top 5!) ... unnerves opposition defences As the late, great, Ian Dury once said .... "Reasons to be cheerful ..." Here endeth the lesson
Three of your midfielders over Drinkwater? I guess you don't pay attention to Premier League football, or watch Match Of The Day now you're in the lower leagues? Drinkwater has been one of the stars of the season... But yeh, we'll do a straight swap for Quinniesta in January if you like? http://www.givemesport.com/632597-danny-drinkwater-has-been-the-key-to-leicesters-success
Most of your post is fine but the comment about Drinkwater loses credibility. He's one of the inform players in the league
