Hull baiting aside, IMO if there's a number of teams close together as there is, they will all take points off each other if there's no stand out side to run away with it like we did. All it means is the league is close. Where that's because there's a number of good teams or the quality is poor is for interpretation. It is my opinion that none of the teams this season will beat our total that's all
On another note, it looks like we won't be seeing QPR next season - are mid table and have sacked their manager.
Was having a quick read of the Hull forum on my lunch break (was feeling down, so wanted to make me feel a bit better about myself - It worked, I'd recommend it!), and they reckon that the team they have now is "miles better" than the one we had when we got promoted... I guess I can see what they mean, that team did only include Schmeichel, Schlupp, Drinkwater, Vardy, Mahrez... Awful squad, how did we win the league with 100+ points with that dross playing for us!?
Erm it's called "25 more wins" or something like that. AKCJ posted on it, the way they get so wound up by him just posting is bloody hilarious on its own tbh I'm sure they used to be humble, but bless them, a couple of seasons in the Premier League and the quickest of stints in Europe (I've had business trips that have lasted longer) and they've turned into Leeds fans "We're amazing... We deserve to be in the Premier League... We were relevant once, honest officer..."
A booze cruise to Calais would last longer! I was at their FA cup semi final v Sheff Utd (my girlfriend and a lot of mates are Blades) and it was hardly difficult to get to the final to get to Europe. I still think we would have more chance of qualifying that way than through league position though so fair play to them for doing it. Probably came too soon for them though as they got ahead of themselves and struggled. They don't seem to understand different leagues them lot, they genuinely think they're better than us as their league position says 1st and ours 3rd!!!!
Hey John, isn't it nice to have some visitors to this forum who aren't arrogant and rude, and actually make a good contribution? Maybe I'll pop over to the Watford forum and tell them that we were better than them in every area, and that after seeing them play in one game, I'll ignore their league position and assume they are an awful side destined for relegation? Because, they'll always play like that, right? Oh wait... I just realised I'm not an arrogant prick, so will refrain from doing the above
Southampton, Norwich, Watford....premier league fans are just a class above the championship teams....like the teams are
Good wins for both sides Fettis. And I don't think you could describe our fans as arrogant. We are enjoying it whilst it lasts but we know we are overachieving at the minute but it's good times us
Keep it up its nice to see one of the lesser sides doing well , you may well have to fight the bigger boys off with a stick come January/summer .Still find it hard to believe vardy is doing this well .
Most fans of both clubs are fine. The problem is that you get a minority (of the minority of supporters who go on forums) who just talk nonsense. A few of the Hull posters and a few of the Leicester posters: it's not everyone. I just don't get it. I've yet to meet real life supporters (at games) who come out with the arrogance sometimes posted. Back to today, another good win for Leicester which is just what the non-top 4 supporters want to see: different teams proving that Chelsea/Man Utd/Man City/Arsenal/Spurs/Liverpool have no god given right to be in the Champions League spots. We are now starting to look like a quality team who could be back in the PL next season (if we keep making the progress seen in the last 6 weeks). I think you might shade a top 5 place.
To be honest I think your getting promoted is far more likely than a top 5 finish for us, although we do keep defying the odds (especially Lawro's!) and beating (or at least not losing to) those teams that are currently below us, and that's the best way to stay up there. It's been good for you to manage to retain most of the squad from last year and to keep your manager. Personally I rate him quite highly. He knows his way round the game and he knows your squad so, unless you are unfortunate with injuries again, I can see you finishing in the automatic promotion places.
Personally I think we are in a mini league with the likes of Southampton, Everton, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Stoke and maybe even Chelsea at this rate All teams that won't break into the top 4 and won't have relegation worries at all
I hope you do get top 4, I've £20 on Chelsea not finishing in the top 4 (this was 4 weeks ago), Utd, Man City and Arsenal should take the other three slots.
Think i said it elsewhere, would prefer any team other than Chelsea, Liverpool or Spurs to take the top 4 spot because it would give the premier league that little bit of unpredictability that the championship has in spades.
When you get a large amount of posters, you obviously get a larger amount of good posters and a larger amount of daft ones. You've only got twelve posters on here, so it's not something you need worry about. This is our busiest board, yours is Foxestalk and you've got far more idiots on there, than we have on here.
