I think Beckham decision was right. Went to the USA last year and took in a couple of games. He was dreadful. A guy i was talking to even mentioned he had missed 4 games that season while on a photo shoot. Why should he get in, in place of people who are playing regularly.
Agreed that Pearce should be nowhere near the managers job. You just have to remember he was the manager who thought it was a good idea to play David James up front for the last 20 minutes of a match his club had to win to qualify for Europe.
For me it is between Brazil & Spain. I read the other day that everyone of Brazils outfield players had been capped at full level and 6 of Spains squad were actually in the Euro squad as well. Think Uruguay will not be far away either.

Definitely not, they looked like England but with an inability to defend. Passing was ever so slightly better mind.

GB don't have a ****in chance. Spain and Brazil's teams look like they could easily be first team sides!

I wouldn't have taken Richards I must admit. It was almost a pity thing for me, with him missing out on the Euros. We saw again against Brazil, just like the friendly against Holland with the England side, why Richards didn't go to the Euros. He has so much to learn and is so easy to catch out of position. He has a problem I think Saylor had up until about 2 years ago, he plays with his heart too much and needs to use his head more.
On our chances I think we won't get a medal. As we saw with Brazil the other teams are sending sides that have played together for a minimum of 2 years, sometimes a lot more. You can't just throw a side together and say "right lets go and win this". It just doesn't work like that. We should have put together a squad at least a year ago and played some friendly games/had camps in the meantime. We are not taking it serious enough to expect a medal.
