I’d be tempted to start Neil too, very good when he came on tonight.
I’ll be honest and say I’ve never seen him at any level. But I was very impressed tonight (or last night as it is now!!).

He “looks” like a footballer if you get what I mean. Sensible on the ball but with an eye fir a pass. Hope he gets first team game time

I would have Scowen in to be fair. Been really good for a while now. Manager saving his legs too today. It would be instead of Leadbitter too.
I see a lot of what Scowen does well in breaking up play but he equally surrenders a lot of possession. I personally think Leadbitter is playing very well and I’m also a fan of 09.

Got to be hasn't it. Don't think Johnson rates Burge or he'd have played tonight, tbh I don't know why you would rate him if you watch the games. I'm pretty sure Matthews earned his spot.
Matthews has played most of those trophy games. He obviously rates Burge otherwise he’d have brought in a keeper in the window, he strengthened everywhere else he saw weakness. You don’t watch us much do you?

But you keep on ploughing that furrow Nacho lad.

Still trying to stir up a finished argument Mick?

From what I've seen the vast majority of the board agrees with me about Burge btw.

It’s not a finished argument, he polarises opinion too much. This will go on until he either ruins our season or saves it. My money is on the latter :emoticon-0148-yes:

I’m with Nacho. I have no confidence in Burge. I actually prefer Matthews but he’s also ****e.

For me. A tad harsh on O'Brien possibly.
Edit: also harsh on Diamond. Him or McGeady from the start.

I'm impressed with his work rate but he won't win too many fans too quickly. Same with O'Brien, he's working his socks off but isn't a Marco so won't ever be popular. But we need 'water carriers' in this league ...

... we can't fill a L1 team with flair ffs.

No but you do get graft better possession and goals with O9. I’m far from being a Scowen hater but for all the competitiveness he brings, I do think his cheap giveaways slow our momentum.

Power or Leadbitter. Not both. Once they start passing sideways to each other it's like trying to push a boulder uphill.

Get the young keen mobile lads in.

Dilemma I agree. Not sure how to solve it, Grant is by far the better of the two, but we have more options in mid field than right full back. Might have to put up with them both for the time being, or go to a back three again, who knows.
