We cannot continue to play two right footed players on the left wing. It's just unheard of. We're applying a serious limitation to our play when we have the capacity for some really great football. We never have a dominant phase of possession and this is because of the lack of width down the left. This has been evident for a large number of games, we ought to change it now before we lose more games. Don't change it when it's too late. To realise our full potential we must not play two right footed players on the left wing. Regrettably, we have only KR who could fit the description of 'left footed and able to play on the left wing'. Richardson is terrible on the left wing.

Actually, one of the best left backs of the last 30 years to play English top flight football and for one of the giants of the world game in Man Utd, was Denis Urwin

Yep, you guessed it he was a right footed player!

I think switching Bardiniho to right back has in fact made him a far better player as he has had to think about his game and now has started to play football instead of the easier option on his strong foot to hump clearances - its not done his goal scoring any harm either.

Sessegnon is a better right winger and if we do get N'Zogbia in the Summer, what a wing pairing we will have then? Until that time, don't get too hung up on what footed player plays where. I mean, even Steed has played well out left and he is a very right footed player but has looked fantastic most of the campaign.

I will keep out of the spelling argument, dont think I can contribute a lot.

Elmo is a hard one, his pace and heading ability make him a starter but his final ball lets him down. All in all I would go

    gordon
    ned..titus..anton..bardo
    elmo..muntari..steed..sess
    richardson
    gyan

With Spurs pace on the wing I would be looking for fast wide players, not only to close down runs but to burst down the field on the counter. With this formation I can see Jordan and Munts dropping deeper, allowing either richardson to run and sess to be the playmaker. And Elmo will destroy assuo-koto if given the chance.

I fancy we should put Sess square on with Bale.

It'd either a) give Bale more defensive responsibility.

or .b) give us the opportunity to find Sess in space if we nick the ball of Bale.

Even better mate, i haven't looked at the Spurs team news.

Iknow Van Der Vaart was a doubt as well, they may save him for Milan(hopefully..)
