Dave Dawson Davies Robbo

Snodgrass Diame Huddlestone Clucas

Akpom Abel

The only real disagreement we have is in midfield. Huddlestone and Diame in the same team leaves us very un- mobile (whatever the word is!) & I don't think you can leave Livermore out. As you know, I would give Meyler a chance to redeem himself after the Arsenal debacle, but Livermore/Huddlestone or Livermore/Hayden would be OK alternatives.

I see a few calls for Robertson on the left of midfield. I don't think it would work. I feel he is best bursting from deep with momentum to carry him past the opposition. I'm not sure he has the skill to do it from closer quarters. Much in the same way as Elmo for me, who just isn't as affective from midfield.

I hear what your saying, but I would at least like to see it tried once or twice. Perhaps when chasing the game, bring on young Tymon at left back and push Robertson further forward.

Obviously Bruce agrees with you as so far he hasnt played Robertson any further than a wing back.

Meyler shouldn't just get into the first team. He's not deserving of a place, this was his chance to stake a claim for Saturday, now he'll have to wait. Diame is plenty mobile, he covers more ground than people think. Huddlestone doesn't need the pace, he can pass from anywhere and his anticipation makes up for it. Livermore has also been underperforming, so we could probably rest him in this game without causing too much trouble.

I think Diame is more effective coming from deep, he drops deep anyway in games so if he starts there we can have two attackers and Abel won't end up isolated and grumpy.

All that's fine and dandy when we have the ball - but when we don't, a pairing of Diame and Huddlestone is a potential green light for opposition attacks and runners through the middle.

MK Dons don't really have much of a midfield and I don't anticipate them seeing an awful lot of the ball at the KC. Maybe drop Diame and stick Hayden in then, but I don't think Diame is as immobile as some think he is, he just looks like he should be because of his size.

I don't think he's immobile, but his discipline in tracking back has appeared erratic in the past.

We need to win this one. We may have two games in hand over Burnley but if we don't get three points and Burnley and Boro win the gap gets wider and wider, not to mention Brighton.

That's true, everybody goes through a bad patch but this is the thing that winds me up the most about him, he's so inconsistent and his fan boys hang on those good performances and ignore the **** ones. On his day he's an effective midfielder who likes to get forward. On a bad day, he's ****ing useless and he's had more bad ones than good ones recently. The old Meyler back would be like a new signing, so come on Brucey, sort him out.
Think most people who like meyler have criticised him for yesterday.

Only wider.
OK, we won't mention Brighton.

Exactly. He was poor. He'll drop out for a bit and come back in soon.
If Tom was anywhere near as consistent, Meyler would never get a game. Bruce gives Tom every chance and he just doesnt do it, its a crime to see that talent not get used to its full potential.

As for dropping Jake!!! **** me thats mental. Our strongest midfield is Jake and a n other.

Or Albion

I wouldn't drop him ordinarily, but we need a shakeup. Either him or Diame needs to drop out to accomodate another forward to play with Abel.

Of course, this wouldn't happen. It'll be Diame and Abel and it'll be tough for the latter.

I've run 405 seperate simulations on Football Manager and 403 of those were wins, one was a 5-5 draw and one was a 0-4 home defeat. So I blatently know what I'm talking about. They've also made Josh Tymon a 'wonderkid', didn't see that coming.

Can you run the 8 defeats through your computer and see how many times Tom is playing?

To be fair, it's just numbers, but Huddlestone on the game is pretty decent. In fact it's totally unrealistic as he tracks back and gets forward a fair amount.

I thought Thudd was decent last night, he isn't in the team because he's mobile, he's there because he can pass the ball better than any of the others. He skinned that Arsenal lad last night which was pretty immense.

He undoubtedly can, but doesnt. He has a fear of shooting, so does Jake.
I'd play Jake and Powell in CM. With Chubs and Abel up front.
