I have no idea what the rules are, I assumed our registered playing name was Hull City AFC, so I figured if we dropped the AFC bit, we could have our current name still. We couldn't have Hull United or AFC Hull, those are taken. Kingston Upon Hull F.C. isn't too bad I guess.

Newport County were wound up and went out of existence in 1989. The new club was initially called Newport AFC but changed their name back to Newport County AFC ten years later.

I played against Hull City Minors in the old County LeagueI'm not sure if you're up on Hull City history, but we've never played in the Humber Premier League.
