Lot of people ****ting themselves over something they have absolutely no clue about, he spoke well and he was a calming presence but I’m sure there’s people on this board who also have similar qualities, doesn’t mean anyone would have any clue running a football club. Was well documented we struggled with recruitment until Acun got back involved so let’s just see what transpires instead of mass panic kicking off every time something happens no matter how big or small.

If he can’t get the deals done and without Acun we’d have been in the **** then I aren’t bothered even if he did come across well, if the replacement is significantly worse or we don’t have a replacement then there can be a rightful reaction to it but for now calm down it’s a bit silly imo…

Who’s panicking?
No one
If he’s responsible for the late recruitment he should be gone

In all seriousness, Tan's "mutual departure" is a definite concern when you consider just how plugged in to the day to day business. Every Q+A session he gets called in to give specifics on projects for which Acun doesn't know the details. Let's hope we get an able replacement, and this doesn't give the more fickle fans more of a reason to start dissenting
Joe Clutterbrook would be a good replacment.

In the last Q&A someone raised a point about the training ground being **** and Tan got really weird about it saying that they were happy with the current training facilities. I thought that was pretty odd at the time, as there's no way that's true, someone posted a video a few weeks ago of Acun going to the training ground and it was crap, no room to park, pretty grotty in general, down a ****ty lane in Cott that you have to mount the pavement to get down.

He looked very frazzled at being asked the question and came across a bit shirty to the guy that raised the question, saying something like "if you have any suggestions feel free to let us know" in a slightly pissy way.

I think he must've been under a lot of pressure as everyone else has said. It'd be interesting to know what he achieved in his time at the club, but we'll presumably never know.

Tan might just be in the enviable position of saying **** it, i'm bored with this job now. We've all probably thought that about a job in our working lifetime but couldn't afford to just say **** it, no doubt Tan can afford to do that. I'd be surprised if he wasn't in another position very soon anyway.
We'll just have to wait for the follow up statement and see what it's about. Like someone said above, management come and go but we the fans are always here.
CTID. <cheers>

Perhaps he knew that this proposed 'sporting village' was never going to happen? And the Millhouse Woods Lane set up isn't as bad as some people are suggesting?

Think summers recruitment but
Acun is probably thinking why hasn’t the stadium stuff progressed ffs get a move on tan must be ****

Acun meet Hull CC
Hull CC meet Acun

end result??
Hmm
The problem with Acun being the one dealing with the Council long term is that it’s complicated and requires political sensitivity (regardless of what we all think) and time for meetings.
Tying him down for repeated conversations would be impossible. (although I suspect he has already met them once about it)
Tan was doing the actual work needed directly with the Council so this certainly puts a spanner in it even if just short term.

That sh**ty Lane in Cott is hardly the exit under Anlaby Road flyover?

I didn’t mean it literally den
I meant acun won’t be able to understand why there is no progress

meaning our council wil and always will do **** all

The facilities that are there aren't bad, they're just very limited (no indoor training facilities etc) and the building looks terrible from the outside. Though it does a job, it clearly falls below the standard of a lot of clubs our size.
