Just been reading through this thread again.

jck - some of your comments regarding Tan and his considerable investment in the club are so simplistic. The fact that he's kept us going by personally funding substantial losses over the years is not the point everyone seems to be explaining to you.

In this sphere he's a failed businessman and lost considerable financial resources through his intransigence. Pumping money in is easy if you've got it, but the club is in an increasing debt cycle because of poor decision making. He's now even sanctioning loans from external sources adding to the problem down the road. That's covering for football incompetence at the club with cash.

Legally, I believe Tan can only convert a limited amount of debt to equity each year which is very laudable, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the external debt will have to be settled with hard cash, not equity unless he finds a buyer who'll factor that in.

The decisions ultimately land at Tan's feet because he makes the call. If he walks away he'll be lot poorer than when he walked in - and that my friend is down to him.

You are forgetting before the take over we owed the tax man £1.5 million and £1 million and under threat of administration, now if you think the club was in a better position then than now I can see why you are not happy. As far as your concerns go it is simple to get Tan out find an owner willing to buy the club and clear these debts that worry you so much. My point is this saga over years and years saying the same thing over and over about get Tan out is futile as there is no alternative. I would like everyone to post about the football, that is all I am asking. Look am I worried that everyone does not agree with me? No! so stop worrying about what I say and at least you get a more balanced view point than everyone patting each other on the back. If you can find a worse goal scoring record for a striker than Meitie over the same number of games let me know.

I had a quick look at your post and here is the solution. Get Morrison who brought through Mark Harris and Isaak Davies because he knows younger players from his time managing the under 23`s. People forget he took over when we were down the bottom and got us 20 points clear so we could afford to lose the last 6 games. Tan sacked him over the game with Middlesbrough for defending a 3 goal lead despite having won 3-2. This Bulut guy sat back and defended a 2 goal lead against Ipswich and lost 3-2. All we have to do then is get promoted and stay in the premier because Tan said he will not be spending silly money anymore. With the massive money from the premier we pay off the loans, how does that plan sound? My way o looking at things is not to simply state the obvious but to look for a solution. Now if you have a better solution please post it.

Ive not responded to most if what you have written over the last few months as it isn't worth the effort. Sometimes it's nice to do something irrational though, just for the he'll of it.

Maybe you should take notice if your own advice as you seem to have totally ignored what several of us have written. Rather hypocritical I feel.

We all agree that Tan has been a stalwart financially.
However, his interference in the footballing side doesnt do us, or him, any favours.
You troll on about the managers, the signings, the approach. All of which Tan is hands on with, so you seem to be agreeing with us in that regard.
In order to achieve your objectives of promotion and player mentality and promoting youth and manager selection and his performance, maybe we need to change the person driving those decisions and behaviours, and making the appointments.

Morison (note only 1 r) was sacked because he told VT to f off.

Also he was very rude to and therefore unpopular with club employees.

Got what he deserved in my book.

So all we've got to do is get promoted and stay in the Prem eh? Unfortunately, there'll be another 23 teams in the Championship next season with the same aspirations. Getting there is a huge challenge in the first place - staying there an even bigger one.

They were good enough to beat Ipswich and Southampton in the last few games. This is no credit to Bulut as everyone agrees we were lucky to beat Southampton. And the last two games? During matches the posts have been as dire as the football. Dalman brought Bulut here. I was impressed in the first game against Leeds and felt he could do the job but that was shortlived during the 5th game against Ipswich "I took Tanner off because I was not happy with his performance" If anyone has no idea about football it is Bulut, he is not up to the championship and if he gets a contract we are more likely to be down the bottom than near the top. The manager is responsible for playing the best players and best tactics and he alone is responsible for the results. I don`t care who owns the club as long as they pay the bills, Mr Bean would be ok if he paid the bills. The manager is another matter, he alone can ruin a season, if you do not like the games we lost so badly it is his fault. I do not need to resort to silly personal remarks as I have a fine grasp of the English language to use for my posts.

Anyway, back to Tan who I believe this thread was intended to be about.
Once again we find ourselves in-between seasons and not knowing who our manager is. It's a recurring theme now and hardly likely to promote confidence let alone stability. The pros and cons of Bulut are well documented on the other thread but no matter where you stand with regard to him, I'm afraid that the fact that Tan dragged his feet in making a decision, is another classic demonstration of how not to run a club. Once we were safe, Tan had the opportunity to start negotiating with Bulut if he wanted him to stay. If he wanted him to go, he could have served notice a fortnight ago. I've no doubt that Tan will now spin the situation and make it look like Erol is the reason for the delay. What chance planning for the long term progress of the club if he can't plan a few weeks in advance.
Just while I'm here on the subject of our owner, let's not forget that if it hadn't been for the misdemeanor of Reading, we would have been relegated from the Championship under his reign.
I fully appreciate that there's little we can do about it but we should not stop airing our concerns.

There is no rush to appoint a manager as everyone is on holiday and even when players are back for training we have coaches or does Tan organise that too? Like the topic is Tan? 15 years with the majority about Tan what a forum for actual games and how we are playing. Bulut had no control of who played and it is Tan who decides to sit back and let them have the ball as Bulut said when we lost to Swansea, Tan told him to do that? What the hell was Bulut doing for £5000 a week?

And if Bulut is responsible for games going badly then he's also responsible for the games that go well too... And therefore the big improvement on the last few years....

I'm pretty damn sure that pretty much every poster on this board can recognise, appreciate and DO regularly debate the good and bad about the entire club structure from the owner right the way down to the food and beverage service!

Now for crying out loud, stop with the belittling attitude and finger pointing and actually try putting some points across without the snarky undertone. You've occasionally raised some points worth debating, it would actually be quite nice if you tried to integrate a bit more....

We'll have to accept that we're a "broad church" (I hate that experssion ) on here and opinions are just that - opinions.
