I thought that debt to equity was being pursued as and when allowed! 6 million interest should not be compared with 11 million loss.....not relevant! 6 Mill interest on over 100 million capital is not bad! Tan is still pitting money in to keep us afloat and no other person seems ready to stump up.
It's a scary thing when someone is savaged by Mrs Remote. I do feel sorry for some on the receiving end. An angry, 5'1" valleys girl is a frightening sight.
This is exactly the herd mentality all aboard the Tan bandwagon. Tan has saved this club despite 15 years of moaning on every forum against him. It does no harm for a few to appreciate his efforts on these forums Bulut has resorted to sit back and let them have the ball when we are winning or losing and this is the guy you want but Tan who has kept the club alive you want out, where is the logic in that. The best thing is to get rid of Bulut and keep Tan, otherwise its all about a personal hatred for Tan.
It's not a personal hatred of Tan at all - give it a rest jck. I don't think there's any question that Tan has kept this club financially afloat. The worrying thing is there's an element of "external debt" creeping in as opposed to funds being provided soley by Tan. The truth of the matter is we are still here because of him, but also stagnating as a result of him. We've discussed it all before - his insistence in controlling footballing matters which he refuses to accept is not the answer is holding us back. You can argue as some seem to on here that it's his money so he can do what he likes - that's the policy of a flawed businessman operating in a field he doesn't understand. I'd ask those who level the blame for our lack of progress at Bulut, if we accept that Tan oversees every decision made at the club, who appointed Bulut? For that matter who brought in McCarthy and awarded him a 2 year contract on the back of 8 weeks at the club? There've been multiple instances of poor decision making before and since - Solskjaer/Slade/Trollope/Morison/Hudson - even Lamouchi who got very lucky because of the Reading points deduction I don't know when of even if the penny will drop, but I'd suggest unless Tan has a sea-change in approach regarding running the pure football side of the club, he/we will continue to borrow externally and will sleepwalk into another financial ****storm.
Well done for saying all that Sparkey . I've read back over this thread and nowhere could I find any hint of personal hatred. To suggest that it's there is another demonstration of a total disrespect for other posters on here. There's no personal hatred towards Tan from me just a deep concern about the way he runs the club that I've supported for 65 years.
There's no hatred from me. Frustration by the lorry load, but no hatred. With the money spent, I feel we should be further forward. No strategic direction, no discernable playing style, no real development of players, money frittered away. Yes, it's his money to fritter. Still a waste.
None from me also. What I don’t get is why is he so seemingly dull when it comes to football business. If it’s because he relies on Dalman and Choo then that is as flawed a football business model as anyone could imagine.
May I also concur.... No hatred here either, in fact I have plenty of thanks to pass to him first and foremost, however, being thankful doesn't have to mean you can't question decisions or also put your own point of view across that may run counter to the way things are seemingly heading or have headed in the past. The red "rebrand" was an absolute PR disaster and did a lot of longstanding damage where many a fan is concerned. I for one understood the logic at the time but sadly what VT wasn't taking account of was we weren't dealing with just a "product" and ultimately fans (at least those of us old enough to remember pre-Premier League days) aren't simple consumers. The emotional attachment and years of psychological investment are what drive us to have impassioned views that on times probably are more than we're "entitled" to hold given that we don't own the club, but it's what sets sports like football aside from purchasing a branded item.... Fans opinions are what makes the game matter and what is (or should be). Alas all too many owners lose sight of their true full duties.....
Exactly, Tan has been a good owner making sure we survive. It is easy to forget we got promoted to the Premier twice with.Tan running the club not an easy thing to do. However Bulut`s main plan is to sit back and let the other side have the ball and we have seen this all through the season. Now forgive me but when a manager loses the last two games 4-1 and 5-2 and celebrates with a fist punch to cheering and clapping in the crowd something is seriously wrong, normally in any club they would be calling for his head but somehow so many think he should have a 3 year contract...this is madness.
We had £100 million just to change to red, the same colour the national team wear, when Tan went back to blue the fans were not queuing up to give the £100 million back so its a take and no give is it? Tan is the only loser if we do not get promoted so we can be sure he is doing everything he can to make that happen. Bulut has more chance of getting us relegated than promoted. Concentrate more on the football then we can all have a proper conversation. Just one last point when I said Ugbo could score goals everyone wanted to get rid of him but Meitie did not get the same treatment...and that is not bias?
Ok, going to take umbrage with your comment about there being more chance of Erol getting us relegated than promoted... The table doesn't lie and we were (just about) closer to the play-offs than relegation... And that's after several players clearly "switched off" over those last 2 games... Oh and by the way, the 1-4 defeat to Boro was actually a closer game than the scoreline suggested. They just finished their chances with aplomb.... Unless of course what you are actually implying is that we should have gone up automatically??? Which if that IS the case then you my friend are clearly several raisins short of a fruit and nut bar ..
