If the the take over does not happen before Friday what are the Nesties opinions of how long the club can continue before the uncertain status starts damaging recuiting new players or selling the ones who wish to leave?
I think it must already be having an effect, might find out more later from my insider
...but...we are already missing out on buying players, we can't keep this up much longer. I can't see it not going through now though, so i would imagine they already have done some negotiating behind the scenes on that front...i'd hope so anyway....

It has been going on longer than many thought, but the club has not ground to a complete standstill. It is possible that they don't want to sell AM and would be prepared to offer him a deal that appeals to him, although they do not seem to pay over the top wages. Until we see who the manager will be and what sort of transfer budget is available, then we will have to be patient
well, i didn't see my insider today, so nothing to report..and you're right M Frenchie, we are all just going to have to be patient..i does seem, though, that we're not very good at it lol

Trying to find out what's going on is like trying to get blood out of a stone.
This is a bit like a political situation: anything that gets leaked will be leaked for a reason. As far as I can tell neither the Pozzos nor the bondholders stand to gain anything from information coming out (Bassini might, but it seems that he doesn't know much and isn't really a factor). A sensitive sticking point being talked about in public appears to be the only thing that could scupper a deal at this stage. It's frustrating, but unfortunately it looks as though things have to be this way.

Yep, hopefully not much longer, though it does seem that it'd have to be something really major now to scupper it..but if it doesn't happen, we're right in the poop!
That means that they didn't have the news before they had to go to press Dan. I guess that they have another story ready to run as soon as they can.
