Shock horror the front page of today's Sun has the same guy plastered all over it. He was actually abusing kids whilst employed by Hibs(sic).

Could this be the reason that Rangers were contacted and subsequently released a statement or are we still going down the paranoid tim road of "they is just trying to score points"

Course it is but the Sun chose to make Rangers the main story even though he didn't abuse any kid there, as far as we know.

That tells you all need to know about the mindset of the tabloid papers in Scotland.
