With the teams having to run their cars higher at Monaco, I wonder if we’ll see Ferrari take a step forward? I agree with Push that the precision needed round here suggests it could be a weekend where Oscar has a good chance to significantly extend his lead over Lando. The RedBull looks a bit better over the kerbs than last year to me, but it’s still the slow corners where they are weak, so will be interesting also to see to what extent Max can limit the championship damage. No real idea what to expect from Merc, but Russell has been driving well and that usually counts for something at this track.
A couple of other interesting elements.
The significant number of rookies, might give us a bit of an event filled weekend, but also an opportunity for someone to really stand out e.g. Hadjar in the very benign RB?
Mandatory 2 stop - I can see cars at the back stopping from lap 1 and hoping for a safety car, which also means that the front of the grid will have to push on to open up the pack and close that window. Depending on what happens when, we could get a totally random result.
