Tadic or Mane on the left wing?

I know Mane is a good player but I feel Tadic is not as comfortable on right wing?

Hopefully I can make a poll!

Keep them swapping wings through the match, keeps the opposition full backs busy.

I don't see Dusan just as a winger, he is way more than that and Ron's formation is pretty fluid and flexible, I would describe them both as attacking midfielders with the real width coming from the full backs....If the only way to fit both into the team is to start Sadio on the left, then so be it although Davis on the right and Long in the centre worked well the other night.

I have to admit I've not seen every match but they swap sides that often?

My point being Tadic seems to able to put in great crosses from the left.

They pretty much operate from their selected sides but are not "wingers" in the traditional sense in that they don't hug the touchline and just cross the ball.
But it's just a case of semantics I guess.

Dusan can play both sides, but Mane really plays his best stuff cutting in from the left. Why hamstring Mane when Dusan is doing a great job starting on the right?

Anyway, as everyone says, we play a very fluid system with people moving about - so it doesn't really matter!

Both Mane and Tadic are not traditional wingers. They are both perfectly able to play in the middle, or to go over to the other side, or seemingly, wherever they bloody well like. Koeman has allowed them this fluidity of movement and it's great to watch. They may even pop up on the same side and interchange passes, so it's kind of an odd poll to have.

Remember last season, when Lallana had licence to roam..? Well now they all do it. They have their default line-up positions and then they move all over the place. No wonder the technical director at Barcelona thinks Saints are great to watch. He said we go like a shot. I'm assuming he means we're quick and purposeful. It sounds good anyway..!

Every game, they both swap with each other, and it works very well. Neither, as has been said, are natural wingers, but can cut in, find a pass, and cause problems.

mane and Tadic can both cut inside, join the front line, swap sides etc.

The true wingers are Clyne and Bertrand

This - yet everyone still voted (?)

Under normal circumstances you would expect new players to take a while to settle in and probably half season to develop this sort of fluidity. How Ron has managed it from day one I find completely baffling. He is either very lucky or a true footballing / coaching genius.

Just let Tadic play wherever he wants and the rest can work round him :)

Actually I think Saintalona has a point. They do swap wings, but not often. It is clear that Tadic is more effective on the left. The more fluidity, the better for me.

    Mane > Long
    Tadic Left > Tadic Right

Mane Left Tadic Right = Long Right Tadic Left.

    It's win win really.

Dunno .... something about Long being a fraction of Tadic and Tadic using the circumference and Mane more the radius route???
