Visiting Inter and Serie A fan here, excluse the intrusion but thought I'd comment on this. Adel is correct in what he says about kaka and Robinho but the article fails to point out that the latter NEVER plays for Milan these days and is almost completely forgotten about and the former arrived unfit from Madrid and already had his mind on the US. So it really was no mean feat to keep them out.... He did ok for them though, bit hit and miss but he's always been that. Put it this way, Milan certainly werent desperate to keep him.

I'd take his side every day of the week though, I f**ing hate Redknapp. How is it that such a truly woeful manager, who Van Der Vaart described as having the worst training he has ever experienced - comments echoed by Adel here - and yet the media STILL f**ing w**k themselves silly about him and claim he should be the England boss?

FAT CHANCE ADEL’S BEEN TRAINING HARD
    — Harry bites back in QPR’s ‘Battle of the Bulge
    — ‘Taarabt only looks trim because he’s been ill’

EXCLUSIVE By ANDREW DILLON Published: 22 minutes ago

HARRY REDKNAPP has launched a fresh attack on Adel Taarabt by claiming his QPR rebel only lost weight after catching tonsillitis.
Boss Redknapp and forward Taarabt have plunged the struggling Premier League club into a tit-for-tat civil war dubbed the ‘Battle of the Bulge’ by Loftus Road insiders.

Redknapp kicked it off by insisting Taarabt is three stone overweight only for the maverick Moroccan to claim he is fully fit and show off snaps of his trim tummy yesterday.

But SunSport columnist Redknapp has weighed in again by blasting: “The only reason he has lost weight is because he has had tonsillitis. That’s the only way we could get any weight off of him.

“He is not fit to play a game, that’s the truth. He is the worst professional I have ever come across and I have been his only ally at QPR for the past three years. He doesn’t try and I have protected him for too long.”

Taarabt sat out Sunday’s dramatic 3-2 defeat by Liverpool and played just 23 minutes the previous Premier League game – a dismal 2-0 defeat at West Ham.

Redknapp put the boot in further by claiming the player’s lifestyle and attitude makes him a liability.

He revealed: “When we were last in the Premier League we played Manchester United at home on a Saturday lunchtime.

“I had a phone call telling me Adel had been in a casino until 5am that morning.

“I pulled him into my office and asked whether it was true. He told me that he hadn’t been in a casino until 5am until Friday morning but that he might have been there on Thursday morning.

“After we had been relegated last year we went to Exeter to prepare for a season in the Championship.

“I had to leave to go and have an operation on my knee.

“Steve McClaren was working with me at the time. As soon as I left he sent Adel home because he wasn’t up to it. The fitness coaches at QPR, everybody tells me he doesn’t try.

“He doesn’t want to run around. I have tried to protect him until now but the fans have to know what’s going on.

“Even I could suck my stomach in for a picture and look OK.”

Incredibly, Taarabt may still have a future at QPR under Redknapp, although he is unlikely to be picked for next Monday night’s home match against Aston Villa and the two warring parties need peace talks to rebuild their relationship.

Redknapp said: “If something comes off this and it sparks some life into him then great. I would love him to prove me wrong then at least we’d be getting something for our money.”

Taarabt claims Redknapp takes little interest in training and is always on his phone instead of plotting how to dig out a much-needed win.

QPR are bottom of the Premier League and face Chelsea and Manchester city after Villa.

Redknapp retorted: “I am the first one in that training ground every day at 7am and I am always out on the training field.”

    BCC,

The fact that Inter wouldn't meet QPR's valuation says, that Adel isnt as good as some on this forum claim.

Both Adel and Harry are not being totally truthful, and this spat is exactly what we dont need, but it may force the issue, which hopefully may get Adel taking his commitment to playing football with QPR a little more seriously.

Apparently after Adel's outburst of vindication, TF tweeted his support for Harry and what he had said about Taarabt. Then later, TF deleted that tweet...

If the chairman can't make his mind up, what chance for the rest of them? You just get the sense that TF, Harry and Adel are shooting from the hip, and we don't need it with a vital match coming up next Monday.

TF needs to mediate and calm the waters. Harry and Adel clearly can't work together, and this latest spat will increase personal animosity. I can't see the problem being resolved without one of them leaving the club, but TF has to try to get them to jump down from their egos and reach common ground.

Excellent post and thank you for your contribution … I have read plenty of French articles about Taarabt all of which are far more balanced than the **** served to the infected UK football fan.
Harold has become nothing more than a media clown in a truly ****ed up circus. Taarabt has had bad press he is very young in the head … so what people should see through that … he is a remarkable footballer
I am loving watching the cnut suffer at last. The chickens are home to roost
All this QPR exposure is also excellent if anyone at the club understood how to use it positivity … Keep the row going i say it's all good in the long run
I am 100% that if Taarabt came onto the LR pitch now he would be receive a passionate welcome … why because he is our QPR number 10

Well it needed a good blow up … what else sorts things out … Harold had been pretending to be a manager for years now and Taarabt needs to learn to channel and curb his natural abilities

Having them both fired up is good

Garth Fernandes needs to do his job now and look big at last.

I am willing to bet that Hoodle would play Taarabt as would Les

I am willing to bet, that you will never know, as neither currently manage QPR !!

But hey, never let a little bit of hypothetical conjecture stop you from creating the your own vision of warped reality.

Well I have been certain from the word go that Redknapp does very little coaching so i am making a real out there statement that the back room staff do the real work and in effect manage the team

Make a big list for me please of exactly what Harold does? … He gets up early i'll give him that and i know he is in his late 60's and was sacked by Spurs who also found him out

All he does now is ****s up the good work done on the training field by picking bizarre formations he is a gambler with a ego nothing more.

Stephen at Derby got us sorted quickly I can only hope Hoodle gets his chance now … I think he would play Taarabt straight away … yes that's just a guess sort of the same as your posts

Wasn't aware of that, but I make Kidd right.

Refreshing to find a journo not kissing Redknapp's arse.

Taarabt is clearly not in shape, though. I can't believe people are taking this as "Harry Redknapp is a lair <wah><wah><wah>"... Adel looks unfit to play football in this league from those photos, and he's probably sucking it in as well, which makes it even more hilarious. That's the kind of soppy body you see on a park footballer who tells everyone he could have been the next Ronaldo, if only the Youth Academy at Darlo had seen it <doh>.

Fact is, he's not good enough to be fat.

Premier League footballers need to be at peak physical fitness, so I absolutely side with Harry. Adel is a little **** who's wasted his natural talent.

CR could be fat and he'd still be a great player, just like the original Ronaldo. Adel's not in the same stratosphere, so should be 100% committed to being as fit as possible to be at his best. His retaliation is embarrassing, stupid soppy bodied pie.

One player a team doth not make. Especially if that player has an attitude problem. So how would you get him playing? It all good proclaiming his talent but I don't see any suggestions on how it could actually be done. Horses to water.

Just cant help yourself... plus repeating the same thing over and over, similarly does not create reality or fact.
