We are bloody rubbish at the back, have been all season, if it was not for our forward line we would be relagated, will we keep our 24 goal striker too?
Listen guys say what you like, but our defence is ****, and needs addressing for next season, but our gaffa needs to watch the Sousa videos, because he hasn't a clue defensively......
It must be so disheartening for the strikers when they are doing their job and then the defence blow it.
Well of course it is, you do far more running around on the pitch upfront, getting the goals is not easy, but when you do your job so well up front to put us 3 goals up, and then your mates at the back undo it all it's bloody frustrating to say the least......
Another fuk up ffs lucky there's nothing much to play for ! As for our **** defence our best 2 front men will be sold and fek all investment worth shouting about to replace them or those at the back I bet ! Martin prob fek too off like all the others before him after a little success when it was to late ! But there may be a few gems left in the bottom of the barrel last days of the buying season if there's any money spare ?
Just getting back home. Great first half, but the seed for what was going to happen was also sown in the first half… and that was Lowe’s disgraceful challenge on Cabango. We missed Ben hugely when he went off in the 47th minute - the balance went, and he could have been able to ‘handle’ Moore. Where is Bennett? He could have done a better job replacing Cabango …. Why the feck Martin brought on Smith for Cabango is beyond me - the guy is utter sh*te in my humble opinion. After Christie’s goal to go 3 up, it should have been game over but we gave a stupid goal away, then Obafemi was through to make it 4-1 but cocked it up and they go straight up the field and get a penalty… From then on, we felt it was going to be a 3-4 result. The Yanks need to keep the “front 7”, and buy a pacy but robust outfield back 3, and a better goalie - yes, Fisher made a couple of decent saves but, for me he’s League One standard. Piroe was outstanding first half, but got clobbered and struggled second half. Should have been replaced earlier, as should have Wolf, with Fulton introduced to give us some dog in midfield alongside Downes. Grimes was average tonight. Hey ho - could be worse, we could be Cardiff fans. How are they going to cope next season when Everton and not their Blueturds are the biggest club in the Championship……
Lack of leadership on the pitch and off...goalkeeper..the pits...when Cabango went off RM should have brought Ogbeta on for his height if nothing else....where are Burns and Bennett????? 2 kids on the bench who wouldn’t really have played in this game anyway.....still RM proud 9f the team for most part....really%!!!!!
First rules of good management, viz .... 1. Praise in public 2. Criticise in private. So, Martin was observing rule No.1 when expressing his pride in public, and being a good Manager. We'll never know what he said behind those closed doors.
Well I did say a draw What a shambles... two games running! Incredibly frustrating losing two huge leads. Can RM learn from this?
The positives are that we are unbeaten in 9 matches and are scoring regularly. The negatives are that we have a weak bench, and cave in under pressure. Rumour is that Russell Martin is sending the squad on a dog walking course tomorrow so that they can learn how to hold onto a lead …..
